It’s time for me to move on from my back office/CBS job at EY. I’ve been able to get through to recruiter and hiring manager screening round with FAANG employers and some tech companies but never beyond that. How can I differentiate myself when I’m probably also up against our client facing colleagues in consulting. I have about 12 years experience (7 at EY doing the same thing).

My dad got an offer 2 weeks ago in software sales. My brother (new grad) got one at a tech start-up.
My former coworker just got an offer to come work with me here.
My company (a noSQL database company) is still actively hiring
Associate 1: professional services, we’re looking for senior consulting engineers (DM for resume review for the role)
SC1: specifically for professional services
-Like: working with the people, everyone is very smart and have a good technical background. The company culture is inclusive and there is a connected community. The product is used by a good number of companies so it produces interesting work.
-No dislikes but a disclaimer: it’s a very different work style compared to Big4 consulting. You won’t have the standard team of Manager/Consultant/Analyst on the engagements, most client-facing meetings you fly solo.
-Salary: the pay is good for the work done, there are standardized bands based on location and level. You can get a good idea of salary from job descriptions in Colorado or NYC where they mandate posting a salary range.
-WLB: Good WLB as long as you know how to manage your time well. I don’t think I’ve worked over 45hr/week unless there was a major deliverable. Most days I log off by 5, on Fridays I’m done by 4.

I hear twitter is offer some people their jobs back 👏🏽
Even if not, they’re being aggressively head hunted by other companies
You’re gonna be fine!
