DXC hired me for Indian client .My job profile on system admin. Work will be on Legacy Technology. Do I get chance to upgrade to cloud and shift to different Client

Most of the review on DXC is negative. How will be job security and work life balance. In most review I see "termination & layoffs." How is current situation in 2022

Have an interview with a company I really want to work for tomorrow. My last job I was laid off b/c of an acquisition&recently accepted a job at a diff company b/c I couldnt afford not to. One of my senior managers is a boomerang and told me she was laid off when she was 7 months pregnant about 10 years ago. I think she was a senior or manager. She was in a specific group and everybody was laid off. It wasn’t performance based.

Currently, in accenture. I have had very bad billable hours and not much achievement this fiscal year. I am worried of getting fired, so i applied for another job. Got offered may be 5% above my current pay with 5k bonus, but in lower level at Deloitte. I think working lower level will give me more opportunities to learn as i think i have lot to learn. I made decision based on my gut and accepted the offer. I have not talked to anyone on accenture side yet. What you think?

Attended a top 5 UG and have 1 YOE. Doing mostly public sector work right now. Hours are fine, but pay is not at all competitive and the work is slow and not interesting. Thinking of exiting to something that’s more intense and stimulating. Thoughts on next steps? Should I try to apply and lateral to a different firm that isn’t so public sector focused?

Any thoughts around how to use M&A tax skills for the better good? I’m a CPA and originally got into this for a stable / interesting job, but in the long-term I’d like to do something that either influences drafting of tax legislation or helps the public (however naive that may sound). Perhaps I’ve gotten too introspective during the pandemic. Don’t really want to go back for a JD and aside from keeping a roof over my head I’m not very motivated by money. Should I specialize in Blockchain or AI? I’m a freshman in a CS degree and I can’t decide. My main argument to choose blockchain is the easy entry with little experience and high salary, I plan on growing my skills during the bear market and get a job once the market recovers. Regarding AI, I find this field fascinating but I feel like it requires a lot of experience, degrees and diplomas.
