Dont be part of the problem. Consultants work really hard for long hours. This is why I brought it to this bowl.

I went independent and started charging by the hour. Not only do I make much more money, but it's much easier to set boundaries at work once they realize they'll have to pay extra if they want to keep me late.

This doesn’t really make sense. Some weeks are going to be busier than others in most jobs. E.g. you’ll have weeks where you do 20-30 hours and 50 hours another few weeks when it’s busy.

D1 that depends on the firm. Many places just have you "bill" 40 hours for accounting purposes and don't track detailed hours.
