Des Moines is not but Dos Moines is double the cost of living…… 😂

Was it ever a question? It’s Iowa, you tell me if it’s HCOL 🤷🏼♂️

That’s more than 1bd apartments in nice neighborhoods of DC.
Not sure but I’m between moving to Zurich and Jackson Mississippi— what has a higher COL?
LCOL.
I’m halfway between Minneapolis and Des Moines. When putting together my offer, they mapped me to Minneapolis so my salary could be higher. Both cities are considered LCOL.
It is HCOL within Iowa
it should be, I thought rent would be lower when I moved here 😭
I just fundamentally believe rent should be less than $1000 lmao I could get a nicely sized house for that if I had the cash…but I don’t. I also don’t know anyone here to be able to have a roommate, so I’m just forkin it out on my own 🙃

COL=Cost of Labor
Des Moines is LCOL
KPMG1 - I don’t disagree, I’m just saying COL typically stands for cost of living, not cost of labor.
