Does having a PMP certification hold any water in digital media? Do folks care? I’ve been using PMI resources to help solve problems / improve stuff at my org, and I’m tempted to get the full cert but I’m not sure if it’d actually mean anything / have a meaningful impact on my career or pay.

It’s not a huge investment in time or money but if it doesn’t have much of an impact I’d rather just keep reading free resources online on my own time

It seems like it’s pretty risky to do an MBA (even M7) if you want to work in non-amazon tech. I work for FAANG already, but nervous about recruiting post-MBA since most schools send only 3-6 people to my company. If I do decide to go the MBA route should I just force myself to be comfortable working at amazon?

Looking for advice … it often seems I am one click below the level I should be at given I joined consulting in my early 30s post MBA. Joined my current firm again as principal and often seems I can operate at partner level and definitely deliver and sell at one (10-15M year). Part of it has been pushing for it a lot and that I believe is not getting me the right outcomes. Any advice for partners that have been here? Just hit 40 as well.

Head of my department, have 6 yoe. 2 of those as a manger with 3 direct reports. I manage 3.5M in vendor contracts and am the administrator for all of the tech apps. Just curious, what is the end state of analytics roles? Like at what level do these roles end at and you are forced to go to general management to climb higher and how hard is that? Currently job seeking and I see tons of jobs postings on LinkedIn from no-name companies that have hundreds or thousands of applicants. How do these small companies choose a candidate? Their recruiting operations are likely not as sophisticated as F500 companies.
