It's a shame, it was such a good platform. Attention-seekers have ruined the platform

I feel LinkedIn has not been able to maintain the platform. So many opportunities to improve the plarform and keeping it clean but focussing on useleas features like Stories. Even Microsoft buying it doesnt help.

I’m really excited about this one opportunity, I’m interviewing with about 5 other places. I try to remain indifferent so if something doesn’t work out I’m not crushed. But man this is hard.

How best to manage when recruiters ask for salary range in screener calls / early rounds. I understand mutually not wanting to waste time, but also don't want to get stuck lower. Is it always best to avoid the discussion until you have an offer?

Has anyone interviewed at Goldman Sachs recently? I’ve gotten 2 emails to do virtual interviews where you record your answers to interview prompts and was wondering if this is just a default to applying to a job there and if anyone has successfully gotten past that round?

I wish Ad salaries were like NBA salaries. Each year you get a ridiculous raise no matter how shitty you perform. If you are good you get bird rights and no layoff clauses. And retire at 35.

This is random, but does anyone know if it causes a problem if I (an attorney) sit in with my dad for jury selection? They want to select via zoom and my dad is not familiar with the app (retired doc in his 70s), so he asked the clerk (I imagine it’s the clerk) if I could sit in with him. Clerk thought it would be okay, but would have to ask judge. Does anyone have familiarity with this? I’m a Corp attorney barred in another state and have done jury duty before, so I imagine no issues…
