Hey there! I am a PMM at an Israeli startup, based 100% remote in the U.S. The entire 20+ marketing team is based in Israel (9 hrs ahead)& so is the product team. On one hand it’s nice bc I have a lot of independence and freedom in my role, but on the other hand I have such limited ability to collaborate, feel very disconnected, and feel my work suffers bc of it…

My question is: do you think it is possible to be a successful PM 9 hours behind your marketing and product colleagues?

Are people still sending handwritten thank you notes or is it difficult for agencies to get it to the right person with everyone WFH? And are people not wanting mail because germs?

WFH after 2 weeks of travel, back to back calls from 7am-8pm = currently subsisting on 3 week old cookies and some questionable orange juice.

We put our (now) toddler into daycare full-time in Sept. it’s saved our sanity as my partner and I both wfh. We want to get the daycare staff holiday gifts. What do people get for their teachers and who do you give them to? I don’t want to give them Starbucks gift cards.
