I’m in my mid 20s and during/since college have been a pretty heavy drinker. Almost all weekends, some weekdays as well. Nothing dependent yet, but I did do dry january to kind of prove to myself that I’m not dependent and to re-assess my relationship with alcohol. I feel good and am proud of going the whole month so far, but physically I’m not noticing a huge change other than not being hungover on weekends. Anyone have encouraging words/advice/experience? Was it worth it?

Commercial Bank: Switching from credit (PM) to sales side (RM)

Hi everyone, does anyone know if it’s worth moving to the sales side and becoming a RM one day versus becoming a PM? The credit side can get a bit dulling, and I’ve heard the money is much better on the sales side. Any experiences here for anyone whose made the jump?

Also, I know banks are paying heavy right now with how the industry and job market is. Anyone know TCs of other banks for analysts?

Why do you think some companies aren’t willing to give more paid leave?

I was supposed to have an interview today but I received an email a few days ago thanking me for applying with them but they had filled the position. Didn’t think anything of it until I got a call from the company today asking where I was, I told them about the email and they said the position was not filled and it must have been an error. Curious on others thoughts - should I have emailed the hr person confirming the interview was cancelled? I’m not really one to question a ‘no thanks’ email
