Do any of you lot worry about agism in the industry? I'm about 5yrs in and thinking about this more and more. Noticed thay most my colleagues, in mutliple agencies, were about my age with 5yrs give or take each way. Its obviously not a new industry, so either people were getting out of it by 35 or not many of them were getting hired past then. Been tellling myself ill learn to code one day to future proof but I've done fuck all so far. Anyone else planning for the future or am I being paranoid?

I’ve been a nurse for 10 years in Boston. I have a few years of sales that involved a lot of travel. Looking to step away from bedside nursing and get back into sales. I’m also a bit discouraged with my earnings and the wife wants to go down in hours to spend more time with the kids. So far I’ve applied to a few Novartis jobs and the interview process has started. Junior working with ex v5 senior in M&A. He consistently asks me to turn major deliverables at the worst hours, think 10 pm Friday/Sat/Sun night “tonight” or “by tomorrow morning” even when there is no closing date in sight. When I push back he says my behavior is unacceptable.
