Looking for suggestions.
I'm a scotch whisky drinker, pretty much exclusively, apart from a few select Irish bottles. Live in Ireland. So go tos would be Springbank, Kilkerran, Laphroaig, Caol Ila, Arran, Highland Park, Glengoyne...
On many visits to the US I've tried various Bourbons. Never very successful. Always seemed overly sweet and syrupy to my palette.
But I'm sure there are great choices out there.
What would you suggest as quality American whiskies for a scotch fanatic?

Ah, they did in Germany before I transferred to UKI back in the day. Guess Brits do it differently:-D thx for the clarification!
