Count of eggs frozen isn’t sane as quality of eggs frozen. Quality factors include clinic freezing techniques and chromosome errors in your eggs. Research clinics (both the reproductive endocrinologist and embryologist) carefully. Consider nutrition and lifestyle to improve count and quality. “It starts with the egg” is a common resource on nutrition and lifestyle factors.
Would you consider becoming a single mother by choice rather than waiting for the next partner?
Wishing you the best on your fertility journey.
Of course!
I did two freezing cycles when I was 43 and now have 13 eggs on ice, just waiting for me to find Mr. Right. I don’t remember what my test results were before freezing, but do know that you won’t regret doing this for yourself.
Thanks EY1. I'll def DM you for more. Very encouraging. Congrats to you both!
Some clinics will cancel before retrieval if the count isn’t looking good and you won’t have to pay for or go through the procedure. If that’s the case, seems definitely worth a shot!
Ok. Thanks a lot. I have a consult scheduled in 2 weeks. I'm hoping they can give me a path to increasing egg count. Agree... nothing to lose by trying.
OP check out SART data on clinics before you choose one. If you are able to travel financially, that’s great but just consider that you may need to do multiple cycles to harvest enough eggs. Your test results should indicate your percentages. Also check out CCRM if you live in CO or can travel.
Thank you so so much!!!! You have no idea how helpful this is. I'm researching.
