Feeling really frustrated and don’t know what to do. Interviewed early March, informed that I moved onto second rounds after ~2 weeks. Was told there would final rounds in late April but they never took place and haven’t scheduled it still.

I move states in July to start my job at D but I really want this MBB role. There’s roommates in my current and possible future state dependent on me to find out where I’m working as well. At this point I also feel very demotivated to study/prep.

Emailed my tax accountant Monday about getting an appointment. He said he’ll be able to do my forms on time. Has not replied to my subsequent 4 emails or voicemail asking when. What would you do?

Is moving to a HCOL city a bad move financially? If my fiancé and I are making $70k+ in our LCOC market we’d expect an increase in salary to move. Does it even out over time? Is buying property in a HCOL city better than in a LCOL city?

MBB manager in conversations for head of strategic operations role at large corp. Interesting but not life changing, TC of ~350-400k. My biggest concern was clarity around potential progression / career path. In 2nd interview with COO of the company (~3Bn rev & ~7k FTE) they mentioned the aim is to transition me into their role or to COO of their largest BU in 2-3 years when they become CEO. This sounded far fetched to me / unlikely or like false / unrealistic promise? Any thoughts/advice?

My company was acquired last year & new terrritoy assignments were made Jan 1st. The old AEs had until the end of Jan to close out deals they were working to receive 100% commissions & quota relief. The new AE taking over received 50% comm if the deals closed in Jan. After Feb 1st, the new AE taking on the account received 100% comm and the old AE received nothing. The two deals I had worked for months and in procurement Feb 1 close last week at 445k & $399k. $60+k comm to new AE - $0 to me. 😩

This job is so depressing. How did some of you go about looking for other opportunities?

Advice on FT Recruiting

Context, just wrapped up a PE summer analyst position at a MM PE firm. Great experience, training, deal work exposue, just not somwhere I saw myself full time.

They took a very small % of class for FT, and I did not receive an offer. I recruited FT for IB last year, so I am rekindling some of those connections + new ones. Does anyone here have experience / advice for FT IB recruiting? I understand it is an uphill battle, but possible.
