Adopt don’t shop.
I think you’ve underestimated the veracity of pound rescuers and anti-breeders. Prepare for your alerts to skyrocket 🤦♂️
Yeah I figured this would happen, but I didn't ask for advice on making the choice to adopt or breed. Adopting certianly helps the problem, but negligent owners are the reason shelters are full. Plus it's hard to find a good field bred golden retriever puppy to train as a hunting dog. So please answer my question (as I'm looking to responsibly shop and not adopt) or don't answer it at all.
Sorry I’ve never heard of PennHipp testing so no advice on it, just saying in my limited experience of buying a Doodle from a breeder, we were faced with tons and tons of criticism. My only point was beware of what you ask for on here, people aren’t scared to voice their opinions. That’s all. 🤷🏼♂️
Yeah I hear you, I was really referring to EY2, but I get it's a touchy subject.
The breeder did say that at the time it was not a concern when they first started breeding but would test it on future dogs but that would not be for another few years. It looks like 1 of the 2 dogs breeding do have testing for heart, eyes, elbows, and hips but the other only has testing on elbows and hips
