Hello Everyone!
I very recently accepted the position of Sourcing Specialist at TidalHealth - a large Heathcare group in my area. A few of my target positions include Respiratory Therapists. If those in this group can provide me knowledge on what you are looking for in employment offers, salary expectations, the ideal work environment, and any/all factors that would help me in my quest to improve my work ability.
I appreciate any and all responses!
Kind regards,
Regarding adhd specific advice, fine tune any medicine you’re on and stay in tune to how tweaks to your routine affect your work and mood
No, buzzwords will get you not liked by many*
Go to a great undergrad or business school with a stellar gpa and casing skills. That’s really the best way to enter the field. If not that, try to get referrals and make connections with those already in the field.
A big thing for me is that I spent most of my life being smarter than everyone and putting in minimal effort to be good at things, but at Deloitte everyone is about as smart as me or a little less intelligent, so I really need to shine in other ways to differentiate myself. Projects have so many moving parts and you never really develop an in depth end to end understanding of any project only working on it for a short durations
Another thing is that expect yourself to be challenged eventually by your team/clients as this is a very feedback forward industry and you need to be able to take hard and often true feedback and implement it consistently and quickly without really losing your stride.
As someone with adhd I make the same mistakes often and I feel like some of the tasks I need to accomplish are antithetical to my nature but I’m slogging through somehow.
That would be fascinating. Would I need another masters? I will be 25 at the time
Turn back!!! 🫣😭 jk it’s great I love it
I’m just joking around, I’d say be prepared to work hard and fast, and listen more than you speak. Observe your clients and learn what makes them happy or upset, same with your colleagues. Learn to smile a lot and above all listen and have a can-do attitude.
It can be an exhausting and a demanding job so if you are on your meds, make sure to visit your doctor for an advise since it can be distracting working in such environment.
