If I’m truly getting a “summer watch”, and if you’re the g1 with the sick collection I assume you are, you’ve gotta go blue, or at least something a touch lighter. Drink a fruity drink. Wear a fun watch.

I ruled that out because I’d feel bad beating it up. Had a tag for several years that I’m now looking to replace with this, and it got beat up pretty bad as I wore it working on my bike/cars etc.

I have a seamaster diver and love it

So I really like the gold accents on option 1 for a summer watch but it would almost certainly be too large for me. If you’ve tried it on and it fits, then that one gets my vote.

I dig the gold, there’s also optionality with other colors.
For a ‘summer watch’, I’d go with the PO. It’s just got a sportier vibe and because of its thickness you can’t really wear with jackets during colder times. 39.5 vs 43.5 would depend on your wrist size. For context, I have 43.5 blue dial PO and 16cm wrist, and absolutely love it
What's your wrist size? 39mm vs 42mm is a considerable difference
Nice, that’s the only Rolex I ever consider getting. I like huge watches. All the watches I have is 40mm and larger. 😆😆
Just an idea

Id go with the planet ocean my father had the exact decision to make but with the blue dialed versions of both watches
Have you considered white dial seamaster?
