Looking at some solution architect roles across FAANG. Can anyone tell me how WLB is for companies like Microsoft and AWS?

I had heard that with all the layoffs, it got pretty brutal. Wasn’t sure if anything has changed for the better or not?

My wife is pregnant with our second child. She has a good job and health insurance. I went out on my own doing criminal defense so I could help with our first child. Our daughter has been sick a lot. I don’t make as much as wife. Now with second one the cost of daycare will double. Is crazy to run the numbers and think Maybe I shoul be stay home dad? I don’t want give up all the years I have spent on being lawyer. Is there an area of law I could work at nights, weekends, one day a week?
