Looking at the no. of law school classmates that left law to have families and never returned, I think there are some out there who’d be interested in working part-time remotely. I’m an estate planner in a midsize firm wanting to find competent estate planners to outsource doc drafting to. I have more projects than I can handle and am looking for alternatives to simply adding another associate who, in a couple of years, will be covered up with clients of her own. Where do I find this candidate?

This sounds like a dream career and arrangement but unfortunately I don’t have estate planning experience (only corporate tax and general corporate). If you are willing to teach and train some in the beginning, I’d absolutely love to connect! I’ve always thought T&E/estate planning is the most interesting type of law.

Why not reach out to your former classmates directly?

like

I’m 18 years removed and the classmates I’m thinking of haven’t worked since year 5 or so, and none of them in trusts and estates; however, observing their journeys makes me think there must be some who are more current with the requisite experience.

LinkedIn?

I had that thought, but was unsure if those not currently working use it much. I suppose if you were actually in the market for something like this, you may be checking it?

If you don’t want to reach out directly to the former classmates, maybe reach out to your school career services. They likely have a handle on people who are looking for work, and may have a good candidate who wasn’t in your class year so wouldn’t be on your radar

I imagine you can probably put up a job post with the criteria you’re looking for, part time wfh work isn’t that uncommon

like

Is this for New York lawyers? I may know someone...

The person I am thinking of is from Chicago... not sure where licensed but sounds like may work

How do we connect? I have someone who may be interested. Is there a way to message me your information so she can contact you directly.

Resources for an enterprise BDR?

Hello All,

I recently got a job working as a BDR for an enterprise rep. We sell a SaaS product for other tech companies. It is a new realm for me as I have been primarily an AE throughout my career.

What resources are out there to help me learn how to work these accounts (500+ person companies)? looking for tips on everything from writing email cadences, sending video messages, and even qualifying leads during discovery calls.

Thanks for the help!

❗️PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION FOUND IN DRUG TEST❗️As expected, it was found in a drug test as part of a background check for a conditional job offer. Hireright called me & asked me for the name of my medication, name of pharmacy & their phone number. I called my pharmacy (big retail pharmacy) & they said they don’t give medical info to anyone that’s not my doctor … I’m afraid my offer will be rescinded. I’m freaking out. Has this happened to anyone? What do I do?

Does anyone have recommendations for classes or trainings that helped you gain greater expertise in reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, particularly sophisticated SaaS agreements? I came in-house with a biglaw litigation background and because of this feel lacking in competency compared to friends who came in house with transactional experience. Ditto to corporate governance. Would love some recommendations so that I can brush up in these areas and feel less like an imposter.

Hey ladies. I had a miscarriage July 2021 and my cycle started back up not long after. Then in January it just stopped. It’s been 3 months without my period and not sure what could be causing it (I’m not pregnant). My diet hasn’t changed and neither has my activity. I run marathons but I’ve been doing that for years now and it’s never impacted my period prior. I have an appointment to see my OB in a week but wondering if any of you experienced this.
