Can you share a view from which firms a lat move into MBB is possible/ really hard / easiest ? And whether that differs a lot by practice area or not?
MBB folks with ~4 YOE pre mba, what kind of industry roles at Non FAANG companies are you exiting to and how much TC?
Why are B4 people so condescending and snippy towards the MBB people on this app? Can't we all just get along!?
Is there anyone here who did a top Mba but then went back to work for two years for their original employer but then after that two years ended up exiting to either MBB or a faang type company?
Darden vs Yale SOM full time program? No dollars at both. - Location Agnostic - MBB/ Product Management at FAANG - loved the vibe and culture at both schools
Fellow MBB - What are the best exits if you wanted to optimize solely for total earning potential. Context: 5 years consulting at MBB pre-MBA, Top 20-MBA, 1 year post MBA. Thank you! Total 6YOE.
I typically hire MBB for my projects. But after seeing that KPMG sponsors Mickelson, I'm switching. #marketingDollarsWellSpent
Can someone please tell me about hours at MBB. My SO regularly works until 10:30pm Mon-Thurs and I can’t tell if that’s the work or if he’s just not good at prioritizing and protecting work-life balance.
Any Accenture ppl moved to MBB from consultant level or below? Do they still pay for MBA if you are not a campus hire?
For people who have switched from Big4/Tier 2 consulting firms to MBB, what's the reason you made that switch? Also, how are you finding consulting at MBB better than your earlier consulting gigs? What according to you, is the selling point for the tier 1 consulting firms?
Got a final round for a PE interview - but not sure if I’d take it if I got it (would rather stay at MBB for now). Is it better to decline now or wait once they make a final decision?
What is the promotion cycle in MBB . Bcg seems to have a 24-30 month model. I hear Bain is on the higher side and mck is super wide with as early as a year ?
Advice on getting into MBB over 30? I was trying the traditional MBA route but had a hiccup.... I applied to 2 traditional MBA program last year at 29... 2 top schools and got waitlisted and rejected. Reading online I think it's because I'm too non-traditional (ie "old" 🙄) for that route, regardless how high my scores are (95%+). Would a working or exec MBA be worth it or should I look at other avenues that aren't as rigid?
Can you negotiate with the firm about salary after promotion? Is there a big raise after promotion no matter how your base salary is?
Applying for b4 and need to give what I’m looking for regarding salary. Applying for S2 in chicago for a specialty tax (ITS/M&A) position. CPA only. Would saying my minimum base is $100k be reasonable
Considering reneging an offer from Facebook to take an offer at Google. Same TC, but Google role better aligns with career goals. Thoughts? Is the blacklist real? Will Facebook allow me back ever?
Does anyone really believe these “partner pension plans” / pyramid schemes will really last for a few more decades?
I’m currently a 5th year lit associate at a fairly small firm in a fairly small market. I now feel like I’m at the point where I have to move because I don’t want to spend my career here and because the way our comp is structured basically penalizes women who have children. My concern is what my realistic exit options would be. Has anyone moved from a small firm to something other than another small firm?
WiFi didn't work in a 3 hour flight, no inflight entertainment sets as well, how many miles can I claim?
Any freelancers who intentionally went staff before getting pregnant? Or deliberately did NOT go staff/planned to stay freelance before getting pregnant? Tell me your stories/strategies.
NY has the most confirmed coronavirus cases of all states. To my fellow NYers, rejoice as the big4 have not forced WFH for some reason. Fortunately, we are a sacrifice the partners are willing to make
HELP! I have left my belt at home. Flying to client site currently. Any options in airport or anything to get it before arriving onsite? Best cost effective option?
Man...left big 4 recently. I regret it slightly but the raises were just garbage. I wish I could describe them differently.
🐠 I officially accepted a new job yesterday! Promotion, big raise and a new city. Can’t believe it’s real and that it’s happening to me. 😭
Firm laid me off. Found out I’m pregnant. (It was planned. The lay-off was not obviously) so now I’m job searching. Obv not going to tell anyone but if I get a new job, when do I disclose?
Does anyone know if you can apply for a L1b visa extension from within the US? Like not a USCIS application but rather go to the US embassy and extend? I know that going to embassy at your home country is preferred but is the embassy in the US an option?
I actually don’t know much about compensation increases that come with promotions. What does the typical % increase look like for an internal recruiter? Just trying to understand all of the things.
When you realize you’re basically an expensive Google to your client and your client really likes to Google.
What does Sales Enablement mean to you? Does anyone here work in some type of Sales Enablement roll currently?
Dinged after the final round of yet another interview. It’s hard to express with words how dejected I feel. I put my heart and soul into each of the SEVEN rounds I went through and prepared more than 20 hours for a final presentation just to be send a voicemail of my rejection. I don’t know how to move forward yet again with a horrible taste in my mouth
