What's the designation & ctc budget of paytm for lateral hiring for 8.2 years experience (java skillset)?
I had milestone in 2020 & 2021 C to SC. Both yrs good ratings, 6/6 ONL flags, Coach's F/b in iRPM - 'xyz is working on next level since last 2 yrs'. Strong support frm Project, 2 Awards. Still NO PROMOTION Talent f/b to coach - 'Scatterplot cut off didn't meet, can do better next yr' MD called today - 'You are doing good work, want to reward you 1.5L bonus with 12 month retention policy' I said - 'I am 100% sure I would be returning it if I accept, hence I decline this' Wats his next step?
Is there a point in your consulting career where you realized you loved your team or project? Still trying to find that.
Interviewed at a firm early last month, and about a week later, they told me they were facing hiring restrictions. Would it be OK to maintain communication and check in?
SoFi Stadium in LA, opening in 2020 (MSP-LAX)
How often does big 4 hire applicants that a recruiting agency found? Recruiter reached out to me for a position I would be great for? Is this worth pursuing or is it better to wait for a referral?

Genuine question as I wanted to know is it strange for someone to want to switch to advisory from tax. Would it be difficult for someone to transition from that position? I understand that they are too completely different work but similar fields. Also wanted to know what’s the day to day basis like for advisory during covid and in general
Adios consulting! My dear FB family, it's my last week of consulting life. Taking an industry role in a week, please wish me luck that I can survive there.
Anyone exit to McDonalds in Chicago? I see a lot of MBB move there; wondering about the pay and WLB like for a manager role in their Digital Strategy Group
I recently joined Deloitte (experienced hire with 4 yoe from ACN), I’m staffed on a project for the partner that recruited me. The partner told me to record every call (internal and external) and when I asked if just needed notes she said she wants a recording of every one....is this normal Deloitte behaviour?
The Senior reporting into me has clearly been taking advantage of being semi on the bench even though we are working on a small project. It's 10 a.m. on the East Coast. Wake up, John Doe!!
A colleague shared with me the presentation they have prepared for their promotion case. I worked with them on multiple projects during the year and I can clearly see that some of the claims on the deck are wild exaggeration or lies. For example, managed changes in scope for Project X including contract changes. Plot twist: there never was a change of scope for Project X and the contract is exactly the same. How can people be so dishonest? How far can you go before truth catching up?
Is there a conflict of interest if I want to apply for a posting with my client? Currently doing consulting for them but interested in a non-consulting role with their company. Any tips for navigating this—what to do and what not to do to avoid burning bridges…?
What is the most inappropriate thing a client or engagement lead has ever done (to you or anyone else)? I once had a client (married with kids) rub my leg (I'm female) while we were at a sale dinner
I've recently been struggling to figure out what job is next and what I want to do with my career. I have 4.5 yoe, 3.5 years at PwC within tax/tax technology and 1 year within IT transformation, Agile/Change and Implementation work. I don't have many hard skills except for things like excel, PowerPoint, alteryx/tableau/powerbi, and struggling to find something that I want to do. I feel kind of stuck on current project and feel like I'm underpaid. Any advice or guidance on how to figure it out?
I feel like the partner on this project doesn’t respect me, how do I make a case to roll off this project ? All I need is smile from you and “how’s it doing” on a daily basis .
Could anyone here working at Wells Fargo refer me for the below position. Job code 67350BR Technology Systems Operations Engineer Hyderabad India.
I interviewed for a position remotely 3 weeks ago with the 3 partners of an agency at the same time, and it went well. The CFO then took 30 minutes after the initial hour to talk more and she asked that I reach out to her for more questions as well as to let her know when I have relocated as I told them that I am about to move. After 3 weeks, I sent a follow-up note to the HR contact and no response all last week. Shall I try contacting the CFO directly since she did ask that I do? Thoughts?
Let's know what companies are doing to Thier employees at this COVID-19 time . Take this survey and in 3 days I'll visualize it and share it publically http://bit.ly/COVID19_WFH Interesting information I've collected alread
If I move into a financial analyst position after two years of audit experience (and 1 promotion) will i likely start at the bottom of the totem pole? Trying to get an idea of what my salary would be. I feel this role is kinda critical for my 20 -30 year plan so I’m willing to start at an A1 position again. any insight here would be great. Thanks
STARTUP FOUNDERS and FAANG: would you rather hire MBB with 3-4 years of exp or Tier 2 with 5-6 years? If you could isolate those variables and everything else held constant.
Did anyone here work with a publishing company? I'm searching for my exit and would really love to work with books in some capacity
My professional life at the moment is far from ideal. I’ve been on quarantine (long story, but a good one) for the last seven years. Royalties from my books don’t pay the bills. My entrepreneurial pursuits remain hampered. For the interim, I’ve been looking for a remote opportunity where I can leverage my skills in marketing, sales, social media, and elsewhere for a decent sum. I have a social media presence which, in recent years, reached millions. There has to be something exciting I can do.
Can anyone speak the the human capital practices at their firm? I'm currently in HC consulting and want to continue working in the field, but not sure what opportunities there are in MBB.
Curious, anyone works or has worked in the PCS group at Marks Paneth? If so, what is the culture like, perks, hours, comp for a senior? Considering on applying but just want to get some insight scoop. Thanks!
14 months into my first agency job and I’ve been told from my CDs that I’ve been recommended for a raise. What should I ask for? I’m making 58k now and have had a bunch of work produced.
Anyone know how COVID19 has impacted business across different McKinsey functions? Anyone heard of hiring freeze, or worse, potential layoffs in the summer?
Anyone go from MBB/T2 to MBA school and do something OTHER than return to consulting / go for high finance? Curious what your return on making that decision is and if it’s ever worth going if you’re already in consulting. Seems like most non-Consulting or IB jobs you could just skip the MBA.
How have you all been setting boundaries from work? I've been working 10-12 hour days now since March and I'm just really struggling. And the rest is not because I do not get my work done. My client right now stretches between NY to AZ and Asia hours. So I start at 8:30/9am and do not get off the phone until 10pm, sometimes 11pm.
Curious to hear what your funkiest project code name was? Mine has been pretty normal: Forest
Received my Case prompt yesterday AM for my final round interview at a FAANG company. My presentation is early morning tomorrow so wondering realistically how much time should they expect I put into this?
Expecting my first child in a couple months. Parents in India have been dying to come to the US but unable to due to the visa restrictions. Anyone know of any exceptions to the visa restrictions that may apply or any other workaround? (Besides staying in 3rd country for 14days) I am above 21, married, US citizen. Parents gave up their green cards and are on tourist visa 😔
Corp Amex due date is Jan 25 but I have not been completely reimbursed for the amount due. Do I just wait and let it roll past the due date or pay out of pocket and get reimbursed later?
My mom is going through a very bad situation with her previous employer who is not paying her her correct retirement benefits after screwing up their paperwork. She worked for a school district for about 15 years. She has a case but she is afraid it’s not high value enough to attract the attention of the attorney. School district is now ghosting her. If anyone has advice or interest, please let me know, thanks so much
Pro tip: finding it hard to disconnect while working from home? At the end of the day, actually power down your laptop and pack it away in your bag with your power cords, mouse, etc. same you would if you were leaving the office or traveling. Need to take it a step further? Also disable your email/Skype notifications on your phone so your not tempted to check them immediately. Happy Memorial Day weekend FB!
