I just got on a project that requires me to be remote. I feel like this is will limit my impact and stunt my career growth and I'm looking for Senior this year. Any advice? Can I avoid the project?
Trying to convince the SM on this new engagement I'm staffed on to send me to the client in Tampa. Audit consultant = remote work 😒
Running UAT scripts to the "Thong song" and singing along because it is work from home day
Of course I am sick as hell on my remote week :(
When you get a "work from home" project and it changes your life. Eating healthy and working out regularly. Yay!
Unassigned for the next couple weeks. Fighting the urge to work from home until I am assigned. #minivacation
Work from home Friday ... Also known as keep on moving the mouse so the lync status remains in "Available"
Threw my remote in the garbage disposal last night...I need to get it together and stop drinking
Got a rude 6am call about not being able to handle commitments and last minute work done on time. Had to teach SMR remote wifi and refresh inbox to scroll up for the deck I sent at 3 in the morning.
WFH after 2 weeks of travel, back to back calls from 7am-8pm = currently subsisting on 3 week old cookies and some questionable orange juice.
First remote week in 8 months!
My planned work from home week was just destroyed by my client. "Can you be here first thing Monday morning?" Flying Sunday makes me sad... 😞
So thankful it's a remote week #compensatory
Honestly how many of you work remote if you are on the bench? Even if it is against firm policy?
Flight after a week remote home with the parents is delayed.. At least Cleveland has a united club for me to drink in.

How does your team deal with culture clash with your client. As consultants we work in hectic environments and always have a lot of work to do. But when there are dependencies from an industry client week who is very laid back and slow it becomes harder for consultants to deliver effectively. Thoughts?
My mother sent me a check for $200 for Christmas. She is retired and on a fixed income, not rich by any means. I don’t need this money. Is there a polite way to not cash this check?
For the first time in my 4 years in consulting I noticed first-hand white privilege at work. Being a white male myself I didn’t realize how real this phenomenon actually is in the workplace.
Anyone in cyber security consulting at big 4? What's the long term potential for the field, and what skills does it play on the most?
Consultants Approach to Coronavirus - let's whiteboard it. Key outcome - Cure Coronavirus, now lets hire PMO, create dashboards and schedule daily checkins for status review.
Do employers *usually* verify ranks/titles when hiring? For example can I round up 6-7 months of experience at M level to say 1 year during an interview?
So my roommate does not hang out with me and this is not quite ok (I don’t like it). Is it weird if I knock his door and ask him to grab a drink with me? Creepy?
Those who have gotten a certification in Executive coaching / Leadership / etc., who did you do it through? ICF? I’d like to pursue one and don’t know where to start and if ICF is the only reputable option.
Has anyone taken the online GMAT this year? Couple of questions: 1. How challenging was using the virtual whiteboard? 2. Did you confirm with most schools that they’ll accept it, even if it excludes the Writing Assessment portion?
Is the Manager/Project Leader title equivalent to VP in iBanking since they’re the first promo for MBA hires? While it takes 3-4 years to reach VP I feel as if it’s more guaranteed if you stay, while in the 2-3 years it takes to get to manager lots are counseled out.
Got an offer from Alix vs. Slalom vs. Deloitte! Would love to hear from the culture and your perspective from the fishes working at the firm. (Focusing on culture and career growth) From interview, Alix seems to be my fav, but doesn’t mean the other two are not good.
I think if someone has served the country, they should be granted Veteran's Day off as a paid holiday. Not forced to use their accrued PTO, or sick day. It's a holiday they earned for the rest of their lives. Call me crazy but this makes sense to me.
