good call!
Cannot stress good knives enough!
Not a product but if she is starting, I would recommend she check out basically from Bon Appetit. I cook their recipes often and find them really easy to follow and make. The ingredients are easily accessible (for the most part).
Oh I just made strawberry shortcake a few weeks ago using the Bon Appetit recipe! Speak of the devil.
It's a gift, so get her a personalized cutting board (bamboo/ wooden). It's classy and usable every day :)
Pampered Chef stones. I have flat stones, casserole stones, loaf stones. We used all of them often.
A Dutch oven
Food processor. A stainless steel ladle. Garlic press. Good knives. Good quality slotted spoon. Tongs.
Microplane. A little zest makes any dish better.
Depending on your budget:
- Victorinox kinfe (reasonably priced and high quality, recommended by America's Test Kitchen)
- Sous Vide (honestly a cheat code for cooking, I love mine and find excuses to use it)
- Quality pots and pans (All-clad is great, but Cuisinart makes some that are of comparable quality but much cheaper)
