Does contributing to 401k beyond the match make sense? You can’t touch it until you’re 59.5. If i were to invest on my own in various etfs Ill pay the 22% tax upfront and then cap gains would be 15% when i sell. I’d have freedom to use that money to invest in real estate. when i pull my yearly salary out in retirement I’d Atleast be in the 22% bracket if not higher. Since the last 3 dem presidents have increased spending like crazy i expect massive tax hikes in the future. Am i wrong?

I just started as an auditor in PA and am getting interview requests form non accounting firms for finance related roles. Does it make sense to consider these kinds of positions before making senior? I have a second round (out of 3) with Bain coming up. Overall, scored quite high and was just told to be more answer driven, which I am working on.

Did a couple of cases but really feel burnt, no real added values in the ones I do now.

Any insights or advice on what to prepare for round 2? What are my chances if the first round went well with the Consultants?

Just a rant...worked with a CD that I went on a location shoot with (I was a producer at the time). For 3 days straight he talked about himself. Every detail about his divorce, his kid, his family, his life. The one time I brought up one thing about myself, he looked at his phone and went, 'uh huh'.
