Any M level or above 🐠 at Deloitte Consulting willing to help with a referral? Much appreciated!
When a recruiter asks what salary you want for a specific role, do you throw out a number you think seems plausible or do you ask them what it pays?
Anybody hiring HC consultants? Or any suggestions where to look? I have 1 YOE as a consultant with an MHA (graduated in 2020). TIA!
I’m a senior strategist applying senior strategy positions and not getting traction. At this point I think I must be doing something wrong. Hiring managers - what are your red flags at this level? What do you need to see to seal the deal. Thank you!
Hiring a Retention/Email Marketer for an in-house role. I work in the marketing dept and it’s pretty awesome here. Paid medical, unlimited PTO (real kind, culture is to take 4 weeks), fun co-workers
In conversations about a strat role at Weber. Have heard all good things but would love the DL!
Hi all! I’m talking to someone tomorrow on the team for a role I’m super keen on. Luckily enough (not sure If this is good timing) when I reached out to them a few weeks ago and confirmed the time for us to connect, a job in their area opened up a few days later. I’m super keen on trying to push my application and ask about the role (already applied but without a referral :() How would you approach the conversation? I’m a little intimidated since it’s at a hot tech company and they’re MBB.
Apparently rumor is PwC isn't hiring and was told to utilize staff in different service lines to staff engagements since there are so many on the bench...
Hi all! Omnicom Media Group is hiring (paid search, paid social, digital activation, media planning, marketing science, project management, budget project management). We have openings across OMD, PHD, Hearts & Science, Resolution, and Annalect, DM me if you’re interested!
Anyone have an untraditional role or title in consulting? I am working on my growth plan but the standard roles just don’t inspire me. Dream role ideas welcome!
If I took a part time MBA program, can I still campus recruit for a summer role at MBB, Big 4, FAANG, etc?
Is everyone short staffed? I mean in my office the turnover is currently insane. Not really sure how the next year will go without an extreme hiring spree.
If I had a traditional IRA before being employed in a 401k eligible role, can / must I roll that IRA into the 401k or can I leave the accounts separate without deleterious tax consequences?
Hey all, so I was initially informed my hiring process would be the following (Apple) HM interview -> Case study -> On site I completed case study last week and was informed it would take 1-2 weeks to hear back. I felt like I bombed the interview but ended up hearing back relatively quickly that I’ll be passed on for another interview (not on site). Since I am fed an additional interview before the on-site, does this mean my feedback was neutral?
Could you lie to a company and tell them you have another offer letter for negotiating purposes? Trying to see if a company would ever ask proof of the other offer letter. Fighting for 120k base for a Splunk position.
Anyone work at the marketing arm? Saw an open role on the State Farm team and would love to pick your brain.
What’s the advantage for roth 401k vs. roth ira? And is having all types of IRA and 401ks the best to save up investment?
Should I boomerang 🪃 back to Deloitte for high comp and to get into tech strategy? Currently have an opportunity at another firm. Would there also be a separate process if I go back?
Folks who know/managed to generate a large capital (in Millions), what are some of the reliable and capable sources/people/websites to target? Healthcare industry if that matters. Thanks!
My brother is a college student in Minnesota looking for a summer internship in our field. Is anyone here hiring or know of someone who may be willing to provide that opportunity?
Coming from audit... when do you plan to leave the big 4 and what is your hope to do after public accounting? Particularly interested to hear different non-accounting roles
Can I disclose a public sector client if it's public knowledge to an interviewer? As in our contract was published and reported on, is it ok for me to say I work on it? Also the project is a covid project and pretty obvious to connect the dots if I describe my work. Been through 5 rounds with an investment bank without disclosing and have a final interview with an MD.
Today is my first day back at work (and first full day back in my physical office) after a few weeks off for parental leave. Needless to say, I am struggling to stay focused on anything other than wanting to go back home to my spouse and child. I know I shouldn't take an emotional temperature on day one, but it has been more difficult being back than I anticipated. Any tips for navigating the waters for the first day/week/month back?
I recognize that I’ve performed very well and garnered the recognition of many teammates while being able to maintain a fairly regular 8:30/9—4:30/5 schedule, but rather than be grateful for such an opportunity I can’t help but feel as though (1) I’ve been extremely lucky; and (2) I definitely should not feel like I’ll be able to continue experiencing such a (relatively speaking) lax setup.
I have a interview with a manager at Deloitte in the organization transformation practice. Tips for prepping?
Let’s see how entry level accounting salaries have increased (or not) over time. I started in September of 2014 with a mid-market firm in tax at $53k in a non-HCOL city. Your turn..
Tempted to rsvp yes to summer intern events about one month after my due date (our second), Feel like some social events would be fun, but is that just wishful thinking?
Interviewed by a FP&A director for a SFA position and they asked me my salary expectations. I couldn’t dodge the question so i gave a range between 110-115k (where i’m currently at as S3 in big4 advisory). They said highest base for the position is around 105k and total comp (base+annual bonus) would likely be 110k. The role focuses on top-line P&L and is pure FP&A (no JE/acctg responsibilities) and good WLB, so i think it’s a good opportunity. If they do give an offer, should i still negotiate?
Pwc India vs EY GDS. Which is better in terms of culture, work pressure, increment, bonus?
Got an offer at another firm. Should I tell my boss in hopes they’ll match? Or only say something if year end raise is significantly lower? Up for promotion this year. Should hear news about raise amount in the next week or two
What are some common pitfalls of adopting non-enterprise software? (Beyond standard security/scalability/reliability/etc.) Client seems intent on going for a solution that may backfire in the long run and cannot seem to get the message across.
Rolex Sub, Sea-dweller or Deep Sea? Haven’t tried the latter two in metal and concerned that 43mm and 44mm maybe too big for my wrist (7 inches). But love the last two more. Can I wear it at work?
I watched an interview with a psychologist who explained Narcissistic Personality Disorder, and realized this describes my ex to a T. Delusions of grandeur, prone to fits of rage, vain, jealous, thinks everyone is beneath him, entitled. I tried to love him even harder and accommodated every whim to try and make it work. And basically the doctor said that Narcissists don’t change. I’m sad that I wasted 3 years of my life but glad that I’m out. Anyone else healing from dating a Narcissist?
