Fishies that surf: I have naive question 😂 I am going surfing for the time ever on Friday and got my period today. Do I wear a tampon?? I always put one in when swimming in a pool but I’ve never had my period while in the ocean. Help this girl out! I don’t want to get eaten by sharks

Anyone facing continuous and increasing pressure from their parents to get married and have kids? It gets worse during the holidays, my mother acts like working during the month of december means I'll never find a wife. I love my parents and am happy to have had a positive relationship example as a kid, but that doesn't mean my path will look exactly like theres. Any advice to (kindly) get them off my back?
Hi WM team,
After leaving Walmart Can we keep the office laptop for personal use by paying the remaining amount with the FnF settlement?
And so much more...
How’s Citi onboarding process now a days, is it virtual or in person. Does Citi send laptop ahead starting date? Or they even reimburse for screens at home??Citi
Does anyone know what I need to put in a resignation email and who to address it to?
The instructions just say upload an email.
Trying to decide whether or not to have a 3rd baby. My kids are in elementary school now, self sufficient for the most part. They are begging for another sibling. I don’t want to start over though, as they’re both so much easier now. Toddler years are so terrible. Ugh I just cannot decide. Anyone struggle with this decision? How did you ultimately decide? Also I’m 39- pressure is on.
What should be the Salary ask be for Sr. Consultant @ EY India Tech Risk practise?
Relevant YOE - 5 years.
I got a new iPhone on Friday and since it was already late IT hasn’t yet been able to get their hands on it and install firm software, which means I’ve gone almost 48 hours without checking my email. And surprisingly I didn’t die and the firm didn’t send security after me. Beginning to rethink if I really should be checking my email every hour on weekends
I am relatively new to networking and IT but I have been learning quickly and have worked my way into networking from helpdesk within a year. What would be the best steps (education, experience) to make it into big tech?
The summer associate I mentored and joining us next fall will find half of the team gone🤣
I am excited to start as an Applied Intelligence Associate (apprentice) next month. Has anyone else completed their apprenticeship or waiting to start at Accenture?

Has anyone here gotten rid of the annual review / annual performance eval? If so, how are you doing merit increases without the ratings?
Need some advice. During May of 2021 an operations manager and an hourly Hr employee started a relationship while the ops manager was married. We had supervisors give us pictures of those two kissing at workFast forward they are now engaged and getting married. The HR worker does not work here anymore since July 2021. Is it too late to investigate the ops manager for misconduct ? The ops manager has worked here for 15 years and is super valuable, the operation literally can not run without him.
I am a Senior People (HR) Business Partner working in NYC under an H-1B visa (9 years of experience). I am looking for something new, but I am finding it extremely difficult to find a company who would support an H-1B Change of Employer (COE). I either get declined immediately as part of the application process or get told the company does not support visa sponsorship for non-tech roles. Any tips, tricks, or great companies where an H-1B COE would not be an issue?
I was just hired as HR Generalist/department of one/first HR hire for a small start-up. First week in and I find out that previous COO is in rehab and has made some some egregious promises around comp, additional benefits to EEs, and also made some decisions that cost the company a significant amount of money. Company has offered to pay for 2 months leave. Now it seems like owner and other execs do not want this person to return. What do I need to consider regarding termination? Is ADA at play?
Has anyone self- trained for SPHR or SHRM? Without purchasing the SHRM study guide? How did you decide between SPHR or SHRM SCP?
Am I really having to deal with this, really?? How do you deal with immature behavior? Aren’t we all adults? What I’m dealing with at work today...A coworker comes to me today and says she can’t use the restroom because every time she uses it she has an asthma attack because of all the chemicals being used to clean the bathroom. Spoke to the custodian who cleans the bathroom “well if she didn’t explode the bathroom every time she uses it then I wouldn’t need to use as many chemicals.” [comments]
Hi everyone! I’m planning on taking the SHRM-CP exam in February and am really nervous! Does anyone have any advice for study materials / does anyone have anything they used that they are selling or giving away?
Is this legal? My spouses company just decided to change their comp structure for account managers. It was base + comm, now it’s commission only but nothing changed, OT commission is the same, didn’t get more points, just took away the base pay and said work harder basically. So now they have to worker harder to get $50k they were already making. (Not a decision based on employee performance, they’ve been crushing it. I think the company is just trying to save money they overspent else where)
My company has grown from 50 to 200, and my impact as an HR leader needs to grow from IC activities (recruiter, hr ops person) to.....hr leader. Any tips on doing that (and doing it well?)
I’ve said this before and this is reminder to myself as well. What we say, like, comment, and share on FB or other social platform can hurt our job search, promotions or even our employment status.
I pulled a candidate for screening and due to the complexity of the role, I shared the candidates resume with the HM prior to screening. The HM immediately found the candidate on FB and the first thing he saw was a PUBLIC post the candidate wrote going on full attack
Hello HR Pros - I’m looking to improve my public speaking skills, becoming a better presenter. Has anyone taken any courses, trainings that you would recommend? I’ve always tried to avoid presenting but as an HR leader I think it’s so important to be able to present and communicate effectively. Thanks in advance.
I'm frustrated. Everywhere I've worked I've gotten great reviews and even leadership awards. At my last company my boss was promoted to CAO. She hired a director but made her VP of HR at hire due to someone leaving. VP ran 6 HR directors out of the co (we all left without jobs lined up). After I left my team quit & the CAO was fired. Now they promoted this VP to a Sr VP. I gave so much, got nothing, yet she fell into SVP. I have a new Director level job. How do I break into the VP level?
Does your company offer any sort of monthly reimbursements (phone reimbursement, Internet reimbursement, electricity reimbursement)?
My previous company offered $50 for phone and $25 for Internet as monthly non taxable reimbursements (added through payroll and receipts were not required). My current company is reimbursing up to $30 for electricity each month upon receipt and is thinking of adding it to payroll as a recurring taxable reimbursement.
I’m no tax expert: what is the right approach?
What is your companies paid parental leave benefit/policy? Currently offer 12 weeks fully paid for any new parent and thinking about adding additional time.
I am struggling with the fact that I have 13 years of HR experience in one capacity or another, along with a bachelors degree and my PHR designation yet companies say “I’m not qualified or they ghost me when I apply for HR openings. I am experienced in all aspects of HR. How are people with little to no experience coming right out of college obtaining higher level roles than I have currently? It makes my passion for the field just go away.
I’ve noticed in the past year no upper management guidance or vision. I work within a division and no town hall meetings, no communications from upper management and when they are in its “sorry we’ll talk about it next time” many of my peers in other business functions have said the same and the region leaders have also made similar comments about where are we going and what’s next. Constantly it’s been getting pushed to me to communicate but I have nothing since information is low. Common now?
Im intending to resign and I've shared it with my boss. I will officialise this next week. However, I think my director (his boss) would be giving me a hard time for the whole month of notice... how should I go about this? Thanks a million in advance.
