Everyone says staying until one year manager is key to jumping to a great position outside of audit, however I would think there's a ton of value of jumping at senior, gaining corporate accounting experience, and then if you wanted to jump from there opportunities would also be present. Does anyone have experience with this situation?
Opinion needed. I’m resigning from my current role. I notified my direct supervisor today and was hoping to connect with the attorneys I directly work for as well. I called them today and no one answered. 0/6 on returned calls. If they don’t call me by tomorrow AM should I just send them an email? I want this behind me by end of day tomorrow.
I’m SO stoked about a new position I just accepted, smart interview, great work and 40k extra pay. But most comments on here and glassdoor say the place kinda sucks. Am I dense to be worried?
Given the below options for a SC role. -Dell Latitude 14" -Dell Precision 15.6" -Mac Air 13" -MacPro 16" I have a personal MacPro 13" (hardly use it but love it). I always used ThinkPad in all of my past roles. I won't be doing any hardcore coding in my new role. Feedback on Dell laptops and any suggestions? TIA

Hi all! For an experienced hire as a Human Capital Consultant at Deloitte, what should I expect the salary/sign-on bonus to be at a MCOL city? I have approx. 3.5 YOE (non-consulting), MBA and MS degree (non target school) and also SHRM certified (which is probably irrelevant for the role but thought I’d share anyways). Already did my research but the range is kind of all over the place for experienced hires so just want to have a ballpark. Thanks!
At Deloitte now. laid off last year while on medical leave. Landed a new job with the help of a senior mentor and vouched for me not knowing my medical limitations. I just had to take sick leave again on the first project out of the gate. Dr is recommending 40 hours a week which will not fit the requirements of my director role. I feel like I need to switch roles to a non client facing role to be realistic in my health limitations. How do I make the switch and have the convo with w my mentor?
Question for consulting folks- how do you stay motivated after you got into your role for 2plus years? I can’t tell if I’m just getting lazier month by month or I’m just finding work less important. I am hopping this is a bump and I get over it shortly. Anyone else feel This now or at some point in their career?
First time in my career (19 years) that I got ghosted! Emailed the hiring manager (president) on LinkedIn. They told the recruiter I “have a really impressive background.” Interviewed with the...

What is the Guidehouse hiring process like? My friend got an offer over a month ago and has yet to start? Background checks are complete and the team they were hired to won’t give them a definitive start date? Is this how they usually operate? This seems very unprofessional
Anyone on here come from or exit to VW or Audi (or know anyone who works there)? They have a lot of interesting jobs posted on LinkedIn - wondering what the culture is like.

Responded to medical rfe on Monday. Status on uscis site is not updated. That was my first time sending something on my own so I’m a bit worried. Is this normal? Tried Emma -> live agent, they said they will respond in 60 days on whether they got docs or not. Don’t know what I can do. Nebraska/eb2/row/i485 stage. Submitted in mid October
Anyone know any good headhunters/recruiters? I am looking to transition into a fulltime position, based in LA. Any leads greatly appreciated!
Hi everyone, got dingged at HBS and Columbia ED this year. Interview invites to Yale & Tuck. MBB Consultant (Southeast Asia) with ~3 years of work experience. 3.7 GPA from Top 15 US institution, and 720 GMAT. Still waiting on Kellogg and Wharton. Thoughts on my odds?
Came from industry and finding the pace of my current project incredibly slow. In a week I accomplish less than I used to in a day. Tips for speeding things up or dealing with the free time?

This bowl in a nutshell: people who think that universal healthcare is genuinely worse than kids in camps
Need resume help — in college, it was pretty standard to have a consistent amount of bullets (no more than 3-4) for each position. I’d imagine that experienced hires would have probably more for their primary job and only a couple of lines for volunteering or other extracurriculars. Thoughts?
Two R1 Zoom interviews - one went well and the other not so well. Think it was a good cop bad cop situation. Do they factor in both interviews 50-50?
Potentially relocating from East Coast to LA for spouse job change... 3 yrs into a house and have a kid in daycare. I’m on two regional projects where I drive instead of flying. How crazy is it
Anyone out here a marathon runner? I signed up for my first marathon, and I’m curious about training while traveling. Also considering hiring an online coach. Thoughts?
Not so much an MBA question per-say but I see that some BS have smaller, focused “boot camps” Ex: Kellogg has one in digital marketing that requires 4-6 hrs every week for 2 months. Anyone recommend these types of classes? Are they work the cost? Did you find that they advance your career?
To my enlisted military and first generation immigrants peers, keep hustling you’re gonna make it. Just got offer of 170k. Went to a shitty city college and parents never made more than 40k combine their whole lives. I can finally let my parents, wife, and kid enjoy life instead of working to live. Pix below is how much I made my last two years in the army e-5 pay grade, this is from SSA chart.
Final interview was yesterday and I just saw the company reposted the role today. FML! 😔
Going into second yr as C (been analyst for a year just promo-ed) Anyone knows if MBB hires junior resources a year out after grad? Should I get referred? Or do they only have graduation programs
