A councilmember would like to draft an ordinance allowing the general public to attend press conferences.  Currently, our local government does not have a policy regarding press conferences in place. But only members of the press are invited to press conferences. I’ve shared with him my general ideas about why I thought opening up press conferences to the general public would not be a good idea, he still wants to move forward. The grass is not always greener. I left my prior firm that paid market but had a high hours requirement for bonus solely because I didn’t think I would hit it and the new firm guaranteed my bonuses. I loved the firm and the people, and the partners were always available to help. I like the work at my new firm and the people are great, but the partners are never available and I feel like they just tossed me in the ocean and I’m drowning. Midlevel.
