So about 8 mos into my 1st year I accepted a PE/VC role that starts in Nov. I was pretty unhappy and felt like IB wasn’t for me. Few months after that I feel like I’ve settled into the role more, bonded with my team and just happier overall. I still dread working every weekend & over holidays but I feel more confident about my work. We had reviews and turns out I’m top bucket/highest ranked analyst in my class (NYC EB) and now I feel guilty about leaving. Anyone have thoughts here?

I have 10 years of experience. Mostly in Unix, C++ and Visual C++ and MS SQL. I developed interest in cloud computing as like many others and was able to clear AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Solution Architect Associate and Professional, AWS Security. Along with these I was able to clear 8 Azure certifications as well: 3 fundamentals, Azure Security, Azure Developer, Azure DevOps and Azure Architect.
Now my main question, can I try to switch on Cloud Architect or some other similar cloud roles?

Hi guys, I had an interview for an SDE 2 in the Bay Area. The recruiter came back saying they can only offer an SDE 1 position, and currently the team I interviewed for does not have any open positions at that level. The recruiter mentioned that they have sent out my application to multiple hiring managers and as soon as they hear back they will let me know.
