What type of contractor? What skills?

What type of role?

I am open to see where I can fill gaps. Anywhere from administrative role to IT project management is feasible as long as remote work is possible. :)

Hey all, thanks so much for commenting! I mainly have project management and strategy experience in tech. But I am willing to explore other options. Thanks!

Has anyone tried just not complying with RTO? I’m a C/O 2020 in a NY corporate group and my firm recently set a date for returning to office 3 days/week. I have never worked in the office since I joined, am confident that I’m capable of wfh effectively and would 100% prefer keeping it this way. Has anyone, especially corporate juniors tried negotiating with their group on wfh? Fwiw my group is suffering from heavy attrition (even my class is more than 50% gone) and I have a good reputation.

After spending 2 years at a BigLaw firm (which were preceded by 7 years at a midsize firm and 4 years at small firms) I am considering a move to an in-house role at a late stage start-up. Is it time to make such a move considering how long I have been working at law firms or too soon to leave my BigLaw firm, as I have only been working there for 2 years? And if I were to leave, how would I explain such a move to my current employer?

Designers, I was working for my last job of 5 years as a Sr. Web Designer and was very happy there. During COVID my role changed to Email marketing and my work was given to our freelancer in Russia. I had to do something I really hated and not in my field. I’m looking for remote Sr. web/graphic jobs now but it’s so competitive. I finally have an interview but position isn’t senior. Keeping options open but need interview tips for remote jobs, haven’t been on an interview in a long time. Thanks.

If I was a junior on a team during a campaign launch, is that something I can put in my book? I helped during the concepting phase, was responsible for keeping the boards up to date, and wrote a lot of the supporting materials (print, social etc) but obviously I was not on the shoot or the lead on writing the script. As long as I’m clear about my role is that acceptable?

I know it’s only the beginning, but I’m feeling so hopeful and nervous from being hopeful.

Any other women on here have issues with slightly peeing whenever you cough, laugh, or sneeze? I have this problem and I don’t know if there is anything I can do about it or how to deal with it. Since we’ve been WFH, it’s fine, I can just change clothes but with returning to the office approaching at some point I starting to wonder what to do.

I’ve been dating my boyfriend for a year but he still hasn’t told his parents about me. It’s not a cultural/religious thing but I am his first serious girlfriend (he’s 38 and I’m 32) due to him having commitment issues in the past. We spend 5/7 nights a week together. He tells his parents that he was doing this or that with friends/coworkers when in reality it was with me. He’s close-ish with his parents, talks to his mom almost daily so feel like the fact they don’t know about me is a bad sign?

I’m job hunting, and I’m realizing that I am in a weird gray area of my career. I have 12 yrs management experience with e-com companies, and 5 years as a director.

It seems the only callbacks I’m getting are for management roles, and they are quick to admit that they don’t think they can afford me. But, the director roles want me to have more experience as a director.

Take a lower title/slight pay cut with the opportunity to advance quickly? Or hold out for a director title and salary?
