I have a final round interview with a hedge fund in the NYC area. Approximately $15bn AUM and 40 employees. I am meeting with the founder of the firm and was told we would be discussing comp. I just graduated from college this year and the role is business development associate. The hiring manager described it as a front office role. What salary range should I be expecting going into the meeting? What about bonus?
Can anyone give me tips on better hotels in Jacksonville FL? Looking at the Jacksonville Marriott right now. Is it the best Marriott property down there?
A few months ago, I interviewed for a job I really wanted. They said it was between me and an internal candidate but that they were giving it to the internal candidate as a promotion. Just yesterday they reposted the role, so I reached back out to the recruiter. She said it is the same role, and they thought they had a decision but are starting the search over again. How do you interpret this? What could have happened? Should I try to reapply?
What questions do you ask at the interview?
I’m due for a review and possibly a raise. Any thoughts on asking for a raise during a pandemic?
Hello I saw a lot of you post about how you use tote bags a lot for errands / work etc. I started painting over the pandemic, and recently turned my abstract art into tote bags! The aim is to bring a pop of colour to an otherwise dull day! :) a fun side project 🙌 something different for sure, sharing the link below! https://ruefranklinart.com/collections/frontpage
A little over a year ago, I posted about my boss making constant comments about my salary. Most comments said I must not have been performing well. I want to update that he was fired, not me.
I’m planning to buy the study materials for the SHRM-CP certificate through Amazon. What are the best ones to obtain?
If you’re ever feeling down, just call the Amex late fee dispute line and you’ll be told how good you are at submitting expense reports on time and how special you are to them 😂
Questions for fish who are currently in Deloitte GPS .. How extensive or much of a pain is the background investigation. I have nothing nefarious in my background, but am currently filling out forms for federal background for current job.. Is a pretty convoluted process, and the ADHD side of myself is getting pretty overwhelmed. Does it depend on project. Or does everyone in Deloitte GPS goes through full background check as well?
Does EY have any mortgage benefits that we should look into? Any discounts or anything? I'm trying to search... not finding much but swear someone said we did.
Someone is conducting a job interview during breakfast in the Marriott lounge. Everyone can hear the questions/answers. It's for a sales job. This is weird.
Do any of the MBBs consult for FAANG or top tech companies? Or do all those companies exclusively use in house strategy teams? If any MBB does, a referral would be much appreciated
How do you answer "what is your value proposition?" Finding it difficult to distinguish myself. I'm a CFP, fee-only, and use globally diversified, rules-based portfolios but so does everyone else
Currently diamond w/ delta. Moved to Chicago...status match to United or American? I wish neither but need direct flights.
What is the best position to move from consulting to a tech company? Seems like a lot of post sales roles.
I am interviewing at a top tech firm and have been told I need to take a 45 min excel assessment. Has anyone taken something like this/does anyone have prep advice?
What kinds of extracurriculars "count" for admissions? For example, I'm a serious musician and play in competitions and gigs; I also have some leadership experience from college that was pretty extensive (used it for all my job interviews) but hasn't continued since then. Also, how many activities do they usually ask for? Just trying to get a sense of how/if I should adjust my activities to be more "application-ready".
