Just started seeing someone but we have to be apart for about 3 weeks....how do I keep things going without being annoying or being MIA?
What’s the safest way ride back alone from JFK to Manhattan after 11pm? Uber? Any other alternatives that you recommend? Thank you in advance!

Anyone have thoughts working/living in Salt Lake City. Just got an offer from Goldman in their SLC office but I’m from the east coast. Not sure if a 20k increase is worth it
Anyone see this interview with Las Vegas mayor Carolyn Goodman? She's pushing to reopen the city. I can understand the need to "get back to work" but it clearly hasn't been thought through https://youtu.be/APoSHB9pQk8
Have you noticed (either in school or in person) that social-distancing and cleaning standards are becoming more lax?
Hello all! Brand new to the fishbowl but I would love some insight. I just got offered an entry level marketing position at Cisco headquarters in San Jose. They are offering a base pay of $76,200. I just graduated in December 2021 but have ~2 years of relevant experience. I did some calculations and I am going to be spending ~39% of my income in rent. Should I negotiate for more? If so, what range?
Our partner last Thursday told us that we need to work this weekend since we’re trying to finish everything by Tuesday and he said we can take Friday off. Sunday comes along and we’ve had numerous team calls and the A1s are MIA. Where do we find them lol

The worst message to randomly get half way through a meeting is “are you taking notes” If you thought the meeting was important to document, tell your junior tell ahead of time to take notes or maybe even start hitting stuff down yourself.
Two co-workers right next to me always talk real loud for hours about non-work stuff while standing at their desks. So today I set up a stopwatch to count the number of hours they talk. 🤷♂️🤷🏼♀️
Hot take (potentially): Austin has got to be the most overrated city in the US right now. Just got back from a 10 day trip there and wow. Tiny downtown, food isn’t that great and the traffic is awful for its size
Not to brag, but just crossed 200k annual comp with my raise and bonus this year. Still living in NYC, paying 2k a month in MBA loans, and 1k to support patents, but now feel a little more secure. 😀
Anyone who has recently left West Monroe, what are your thoughts and why did you leave? Currently evaluating an offer.
A guy on my practice team had a death in the family and asked for a bereavement week so I said of course, please make sure you notify your project. They do so....they mention "I already asked (me)..." So then the PM emails me, all hot and bothered, wanting to school ME about our PTO policy - that the PM gets to approve leave first and that "project needs come first." Like seriously? You actually think that it's within your authority in this situation to deny the leave? PMs 🙄
LA vs Miami for late 20s single male? Priority would be 1)Ladies 2)COL 3)Generally fun life 4)Weather

Booked a room under another company’s rate and got an email a few days before from “Rooms Control” telling me that I need to have proof of current employment available at check-in. Is Marriott starting to crack down on rate codes or was this just circumstantial? Been doing this for years without issue.
When is the RECESSION?
I'm curious, is this discussed at Boston Consulting Group at all? Is it seen like a potential PR issue, or pretty much ignored?
I had a superior talked down to me and can't shake it off. I live by the golden rule, I'm always professional and very respectful to everyone in the team. So this really rubbed me the wrong way. Is this typical behavior? I'm trying to figure out if it's the type of thing to expect at a larger firm (switched from smaller recently) or if this is simply someone I need to avoid by switching sl/firms.
