As a Support Engineer, you will be one of the top product professionals at the entire company and be responsible for sharing that knowledge with our customers and internal teams as people will rely on you to educate them on our product. As a technical leader within the Support organization, you will resolve technical inquiries, handle critical issues from team members, and guide others on how to resolve questions more efficiently. This role is vital to growing our Support organization to the next level.

Responsibilities:

Answer technical inquiries regarding SDKs, APIs, integrations, and the Amplitude product via email, chat, and phone
Ensure that all tickets meet our service level agreements including on-call weekend support once per quarter
Build enablement for the Support team on technical details of Amplitude and tools needed to solve technical issues
Contribute to the Amplitude Help Center, Community, and Developer Center
Develop and improve support processes on how to tackle more sophisticated issues
Skills and Experiences:

4+ years in a customer-facing role for a B2B SaaS company
Experience with JavaScript (client, server, react), iOS, and Android SDKs
Solid grasp of event tracking and data collection
You know how to solve issues in the browser using Chrome developer tools
Rudimentary experience with or ability to acquire knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Kotlin, Objective-C, Swift, PHP, Ruby, Python, and C# — enough to understand basic code, compile and run, debug basic apps
Basic understanding of CI and at least some familiarity with Bitbucket Pipelines and/or GitHub Actions and/or CircleCI
Understanding basic Git concepts: commits and merge requests

Role is remote

To be honest with you, that salary is a bit on the low side for a role requiring all of those skills.

I think so as well. Just putting it out there if anyone is interested in the opportunity

If you are working with a recruiter, what is a reasonable amount of time to wait after the recruiter applies to a position(s) for you before you start to question things? I know this depends on firm response time - just curious how long I should be waiting before I ask what’s up.

Any white males on here dating Asian females, specifically Chinese? I’m a white male with a Chinese girlfriend and I’m a bit worried about meeting the parents (they are in China; we are in Australia). They’ve said to my girlfriend that they’d prefer her to date Chinese so they are able to communicate with her boyfriend, but other than that it seems ok. Does anyone have experience in this situation? How did it turn out?
