There are a lot cool opportunities in the tax software area. And it’s a very fun space! I worked for a small tax software startup for a couple years and it was a blast. Just recently I passed a building called TAXBit here in Salt Lake and I was looking at positions there. Seems like you could definitely fit in there and they just got a TON of money in funding. Worth looking into. :) good luck!!

Their software looks interesting. I am looking to see what I can do there. Thank you for the recommendation!

So apparently EY believes that moving to unlimited PTO will provide a first mover/differentiator advantage amongst the big 4.. I’d advise Deloitte, PWC, and KPMG folks to let EY stand alone on this one! None of us asked for this and they are doing it primarily to reduce PTO accrual liability for layoffs/in states where employers are limited in taking away earned PTO

Serious question: how difficult is it to get straight up fired from big 4? Outside the layoffs last year, I have personally never seen anyone let go for any reason. There's always some PIP or transferring projects or some long review process that never goes anywhere. Anyone have any insight or stories? Just looking for some perspective.
