Wanted to share smth I found recently. I felt like it was pretty darn accurate. I’ll provide the link here but there’s a screenshot I took that I feel I can relate to quite heavily. https://pairedlife.com/love/infatuations
I’ve struggled with so many heavy infatuations before and a friend recommended this. Hope it helps anyone else out there who’s gone through this or may be going through this right now.

Do not feel guilty, and always look out for yourself. Even though you love your team, chances are they are looking out for themselves too, not their current agency. In my personal experience it’s not very likely for your current agency to promote you or give you a raise at the junior level.
There’s two trains of thought I have:
1) don’t waste the company’s time if you have zero intention of leaving.
2) if you’re slightly curious, would actually consider leaving, and want to keep your interviewing skills fresh, take a phone call with the recruiter at minimum.
Also don’t try to leverage a new offer for a raise/promotion at your current agency. It’s very sticky and at your level they’d likely not counter offer and just let you leave.
Finally- never feel guilty interviewing elsewhere. A big mistake that junior people make is showing extreme loyalty to a company when it’s just that- a company. Particularly when you’re growing your career, keep an eye out for yourself and your best growth opportunities and financial benefit.
I should also note that I’m not entirely sure I want to stay on the account path. It feels like the easiest thing to do because it’s a clear trajectory with more money promised every few years if you jump, but I hate living in my inbox and answering everyone’s questions all day. My analytic and creative thinking skills are never put to use and it feels like a waste of time for me

You are very green and will learn a lot from interviewing at another company. Right now you don’t know what you don’t know. So in your case, the general advice of trying not to waste an interviewer’s time really doesn’t apply
Go explore, use it as a chance to be bolder or try out some new interview techniques with fewer nerves since it’s not life or death. You could surprise yourself, open a new door, make more money, meet a valuable connection...
