We've set up “offices” in different rooms, but take breaks together for coffee, lunch. We're not the busiest right now anyway

Since we don't take many calls, we've been able to work next to each other at the kitchen table no problem

We both work in the living room. I already worked from home sometimes previously so I had prior claim to our desk and work chair and he works on our kitchen table. If one of us is on a call and then the other has to start a call, the second person moves into the bedroom temporarily. We both listen to podcasts/music on headphones during the day to minimize noise. My husband starts calls much earlier in the morning and he tries to sit in a specific corner and minimize noise to not wake me up. When I work later in the evenings, he watches tv with headphones on to not disturb me. We have a 1-bedroom so nowhere else to go. My advice- lots of detailed discussions and compromise.

Nooners are a must.

?

I duck tape everyone to different walls in different rooms and leave them there until I’m down for the day.

WFH has made me realise I loved agency culture more than that industry itself. What can a strategist do after leaving advertising? I adore creativity, the buzz of a team and thinking laterally as well as commercially. The pandemic has made me feel ambivalent about making ads though after ten years in.

Is it realistic to have a decent WLB if you’re a parent and working in MBB/T2 in Dubai? Is it guaranteed that you’d be travelling Monday-Thursday? Currently, I have a decent WLB in London but money is very attractive in Dubai but don’t want to miss my child growing up if I’m expected to not be home >80% of the time.
Any parents working in Dubai MBB/T2 have an answer?

Have any of you ladies managed to get over an ex after being hung up on them for years? My ex and I broke up two years ago but I still think about him every day. We live in different countries and he’s now married - I’ve tried multiple therapists, changing cities, traveling loads, throwing myself into work, dating, self help books, you name it. While the pain has become much more bearable, it’s never gone away. Will it ever?

Fishies, I am hiring a partner in crime to help me introduce PETERMAYER to the national stage. This isn't your typical biz dev role - it's designed to be a hybrid/cross-discipline role for someone who wants to use their full creative, strategic brain and most definitely NOT stay in their lane. Know anyone that sounds like that, send them my way! (Agency is full-time flex/hybrid, but a desire to be NOLA-based is strongly preferred; however remote may be negotiable.)
