1) any inexpensive brands that still look nice? 2) any splurges/more expensive brands that are worth the investment? Thanks!

Calvin Klein suits at macys—could grab a matching blazer, trousers, and skirt set for under $200. Plus they have a bit of stretch and are comfy

Was coming here to say this! Also Anne Klein at Macy’s.

Theory suits are more expensive but I think they are worth the investment! They look great and are really comfortable.

like

thank you!! will definitely check those out

Theory is the best! Check Theory Outlet for better deals. I personally wouldn’t go for cheaper suits (Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, etc). Their quality and fit aren’t as good. But I’m all for cheaper brands for blouses to pair with the Theory suits (I like Express blouses, Cece, and Calvin Klein the most).

like

I only splurge on classic bags and shoes that I know will always fit and will never go out of style. I’ve had good luck with suits, separates, and blouses/sweaters from Ann Taylor and JCrew (and don’t write off their factory stores!).

like

I got some great, well made pieces from MM LaFleur. Calvin Klein is great for cheaper basics.

like

I don’t really spurge on suits, though the things I have from MM LeFleur are nicely made and on the pricier side.

Colleagues of mine love The Fold of London, but I don’t want to pay that much. I’ve had great luck with the Antonio Melani line at Dillards, particularly on sale (somewhat conservative/traditional fabrics but cut a bit more modern, just be careful on some of the skirts - they can run too short for my taste and office).

like

Hugo Boss are my splurge suits - they wear like iron and look great during trial.

thank you all so much!!
