I’m currently working as Help Desk in the IT industry and I’ve been doing tech for about 15 years, but I am currently in school and close to graduating with my Associate’s in Psych. Eventually I want to pursue CyberPsych and mix my passion for IT and Psych. The thing is, I hear from many people that you need a Master’s in Psych to do anything in that field. Any A.A’s graduates that can vouch? 🥺

Moreso sharing my story than an earnest ask, I feel compelled to share:

I got my job via a series of lucky coincidences. I am a former art student who winded up working for the print production dept of a major media company in what was supposed to be a weeklong gig, and then ended up as a data analyst in the same org.

When I think of what I would be passionate for, I think of a creative field, like fashion, even if I was a similar, administrative role. I’m not sure there’s room to grow here.

I had a performance evaluation last week where I completely fell apart. When asked how I was doing, I responded that I was overwhelmed with work and with the personal animosity of my para who called me a bitch to my face. The partner said that the para is not very good at their job and that I should care a lot less what she thinks of me. I feel like the response was deflecting the issue - she was a bad hire in the first place and more money needs to be spent on staff. Am I off base?

Hi! I am in the beginning of my law career, currently working for government. But I am not sure where life will take me next. On another note, do you have examples of accounts of attorneys that put some effort in it and you enjoy following them?
