The role is in FinTech
I’m responsible for strategy, comms and key partnerships for a bank product. It reports through Customer Experience but touches product, Ops. marketing. It’s basically a Project Manager role but more nuanced.

Looking for recommendations on a good book/resource on how to manage people, especially when you’re managing teams to achieve tight deadlines and also overall leadership for those teams. Currently on a project with tight regulatory deadlines and feel like I’m struggling to push people without pissing them off. Great learning curve for me and a good read seems timely. TIA!

Being a woman in the workforce is difficult enough when you have to prove 24/7 you are capable and intelligent to be given any job worth having. In advertising, I feel like there’s no exception. I see many women in advertising being given the unfavorable marketing roles such as running organic social media, managing events and other PR related duties. Had my review which was absolutely glowing. (Peer reviews) There are things to improve upon which are mostly about my character and not my work. I can be inflexible, controlling, dismissive, it says. I am self aware to notice moments of tension at work but I often see them as part of creating the best work possible. If I was a man if I would receive this same criticism?
