Hi all, just a quick question. I'm an app sec enginner and I'm trying to prep for interviews with FAANG. Since app sec is in a niche position where it's not cyber but not SWE, what is the interview process like for a position in the area? Are they the typical leetcode questions or are you going to get more questions geared for product and app sec? Amazon Apple Facebook Google Netflix
Coinbase IPO tomorrow. Hold on to your seats.

Hey SDA
1st of all congratulations on getting upto this stage.
On the package I am not well aware of how much does AWS pay for L5, what I heard is if its a Technical role then they pay more.
Have you checked Glassdoor and levels.fyi to get an idea about the salary at this level?
RSU definitely looks low, but I would check at levels.fyi
On the other note can you please share what all rounds you had there ? And how did it go? Any insights if you can.
Once again congratulations, but do check these sites and then compare.
The offer:
Base: 115K
Bonus: 15K/9K (first and second year)
RSUs: 10 (yes, that's it)
Current TC: 133K
Previous TC: 138K
YOE: 11 in data roles
Also, recruiter is on a 3day offsite, so asked we negotiate by email until he can talk on phone, but has not even acknowledged my counter yet.
Forgot to mention the role is on a Seattle based team, but I would be remote in Los Angeles. They also sourced me directly for the role, so they knew I have been in Sr Data roles for years, and had over 10 years experience. I'm confused why they would not offer me at L6, I also am fairly confident I did well on the loop. I was very prepared and felt every interview hit the mark.
