I got a new job offer for more money. My current team who I love working with made a counter offer, the counter offer isn’t as high as the offer for my new role. If I was only considering my own happiness I’d stay but I’ve started supporting my parents who lost their business due to Covid. They’re immigrants without college degree that apply in the US and have sacrificed a lot for me. I know someone at a M7 who has 2 YOE at a boutique consultancy, 720 GMAT, 3.8~ gpa from a top 70 Ugrad, is a ORM, has weak extracurriculars, and did their entire application in less than a month who not only got in, but received a ~80k scholarship. I can’t think what might have made admissions think they deserved to get in with a large scholarship. Anyone have any ideas?

Um, I feel like my BF of almost 4yrs (1 living together) and I are on the brink of separating. I think COVID is putting it into perspective.
