Maybe stirring the pot, but the unvaccinated are very comfortable posting confidentially, despite being around other people’s children who may be too young to vaccinate. I’m just curious, are any of you comfortable and confident enough to let the adults of your students know if you’re not vaccinated?

Perspective requested. 10 mths ago i was talking to an acquaintance (lives in IN, same age late 20s) and they were having a baby. I expressed my congratulations and during the convo said something like, ‘…here i can’t bring myself to adopt a pup and you’re prepared for such a big responsibility’. Everything’s cool. Present: (randomly) they remind me of this and say they understood my intent but want to teach me that I was culturally inappropriate. Thoughts?

Last night I was looking through pictures on my phone. I was such a happy kid and young adult and even after joining the firm I’m at I was happy for 2ish years…..the past 4 have been awful and depressing though. Man I wish I could go back to that time and do things over.

Um wtf. I’m 23, no significant other or child on my horizon, but I’m crying thinking about how painful birth is and how women aren’t supported on small and societal scales to deal with how difficult it is?!? I literally never shed a tear lol.

My little girl now has an option of returning to school in-person through her spring break. My spouse is a high risk + extra careful when it comes to all things pandemic. I'm worried about my little kid's lost year & want her to go to school & interact with her friends, learn, etc. She's been home since March. Schools are being extra careful, maintaining all precautions, etc. But I can't convince my spouse to agree to this. Anyone else in a similar situation?

Expecting my first child - any advice?

A month after news of my company's upcoming acquisition, I found out I was pregnant. The merger was recently finalized and our structure is currently being discussed. I don't imagine it will change for the next 4-6 months but who knows. As a leader, I know this is a good opp for me but am nervous to tell my higher ups in case it affects what my new leadership role/structure could be. I'm 8 weeks now, so no need to rush, but at what point should I loop them in? In Canada, 12 months of mat leave.
