Question about pronouns: should it be “what I identify as” or “what I’m comfortable being called”? I’m thinking of adding “they” to my pronouns because, although I most closely align with “he,” I’m also fine being put under the umbrella of “they.” I also kind of expect it sometimes—like if somebody mentions me when I’m not there as “my friend” but doesn’t give a pronoun, i would expect someone else to use “they.”

Interview story: I was hired on the spot at an agreed upon verbal offer of $90,000. The partner told me to put in my two weeks notice. I’ve had a fair amount of success in a couple of direct sales ventures, but I’ve ultimately never risen to the top because I’m not a great teambuilder. I’m trying to figure out how to pivot my career & make something from the skills I learned there, but I’m not really sure what that would look like because I never saw myself getting into sales in the first place. Where should I go from here? What is the pay structure typically like in entry-level sales jobs?

I have a final interview for an AE position next week for a saas company. 30 min interview followed by role play. I’m pretty nervous even though I feel like i shouldn’t be but I’m just excited for the chance to finally move from my BDR position.

I’m 21 and been in sales for about 3 years total. I’m on pace to make just under $300,000 this year. Is that around what I should be expecting or should I be speaking with the executives for more?

New to software sales. Trying to understand how common it is for sales leadership to accept quotas that are completely unrealistic to achieve? I’m talking the total addressable market isn’t even as large as these quotas. Also how common is it for sales teams to hit <80% of quota year over year without any consequences/changes?
