When I was an intern, a partner told me that time is more valuable than money. In my head I was like "not yet it isn't"

When the intern tries to analyze data
Any thoughts on taking a class at Adhouse while interning at a great agency? It's not a necessity since I have this internship, but I've been thinking it can just help my craft. If so, which class?
I am an intern and about to start my tax internship this summer. But I am really interested in doing advisory and not tax, what should I do? I don’t wanna ruin my chances of getting an offer
Have been with big D for 2 years. Got an offer to a company I hold of high value for an 'internship' with potential to full time. Really on the fence. Anyone done something similar before?
I am a finance consultant at Wells Fargo who graduated May of 2019. Have two years of experience in the finance industry and am looking to make the switch to IB, preferably in NYC. Does anybody have any tips on how to break into IB? Is it possible without prior internship experience in banking? What are best practices? Thanks for the help!

Would you choose an investment job at a private, partner-owned long only fund where you’re guaranteed to never lose your job& can be a multimillionaire; or at a very top L/S HF where the bottom performers are fired each year, but you could make multimillions in a good year? Another related q, would you forego the offer at the first place to potentially get the offer at the second place, knowing it’s very competitive? Assume you’re target background, at another top fund, good work ethics
On H1b with an approved i-140 and transfering to a new employer. Will there be an issue if I have a 1-2 week gap between the two employers. My transfer has been approved but couldnt align the start and end dates. Example - Current employer wants to end this week but can't start at new employer until mid next month due to relocation etc.
I’m mentally breaking down because I have been doing a job of a scheduler, PM, notetaker, regulatory submissions, and thus have no room for growth to work on strategy. I’m an AS and I am so sick of having to remind everyone because no one looks at my notes, recaps, and no one remembers anything from any meeting. Recently because I’m so exhausted I started making more “mistakes” like not catching a mistake on a submission. Is this because I suck or is it time for me to move off? I feel terrible.
Is it better to be a BDC RM or Field Rep? Compensation wise, work life balance, etc. let me hear your thoughts
I’ve been grinding on a project that’s a technical mismatch for me for months. I’m a new hire and I got an average performance review(maybe a little below) I think it was the straw that broke the camels back. I feel so deflated and a lack of energy whenever work starts now. How should I go about initiating a roll off process? I was looking very forward to working at Deloitte and now dread going to work every day where I’m being asked to fire out deliverables I struggle with.
Hello ladies... Really need your advice on this. I am currently on work visa (L1B) and want to travel to Dubai on the first week of July. Do you know if there will be any restrictions to enter back to US from Dubai?
Currently an SC at EY up for promotion to Manager (no guarantee this will occur) and have an offer from Deloitte for SC for a $15k base increase. Would you take the offer or wait for promo decision?
Survey: - Where do you work (industry or profession is fine if not company)? - How many hours per week do you work? - Annual salary? I’ll start: - Securities Lawyer at midsize law firm - Started recently but approx 50-60 hrs/week - $200k base + bonus Confession is I want to feel better that others are working their butt off too for similar salaries :)
Applied for a role at Strategy& US. Know how long they’ll take to get back to me? Would love to know if I’ve been granted an interview or rejected out right.
If you have applied to IBM via my sponsor request you to send your resume with CRN No. To email@example.com So that I can update you on hiring process
Which Big 4 has the best benefits?
Maybe a strange take but I think that we should be more in touch with our internal bodies. We can send astronauts to the moon and rovers to mars but there’s no easy, portable way to scan our bodies to see what’s going on inside (e.g., a DIY full body xray or MRI). I think this could be the next gen of weighing scales that also show various health metrics, track fitness, etc. It could help with prevention and diagnosis. I guess it’s bad for health providers who make $ today from this. Thoughts?
Who out of the big 4 does the most innovative/interesting work in Healthcare/life sciences? Currently at Deloitte
What would you consider to be fair / compelling comp if you’re leaving consulting 5 years post b-school? Obviously it depends on a million things (firm, industry, wlb, geography, etc.), but just interested to hear a range of responses from this group!
Can trying to negotiate salary ever get your offer taken away or turn someone off from wanting to work with you? Never done this before but I was offered a little below industry average but I (cont.)
