I finally got diagnosed with ADD, inattentive type, at 28 years old. I’ve known I had depression and anxiety for years, but the symptoms and treatment never added up. It took WFH in a pandemic to realize maybe I had ADD, and still months of being dismissed and made to feel like I was crazy before I found a doctor to administer the MMPI. I feel validated, finally, but I can’t help feeling grief too over so much lost potential and unnecessary failure, especially in law school and my career.

Want to negotiate a raise for the coming year. For reference, 1YOE at my biglaw firm, $47k + overtime, litigation. Some things happened in my personal life, firm agreed to let me go FT remote. I’m grateful for this and don’t want to poke the bear by asking for a significant raise (~10K) but feel I’m being underpaid. Advice?

Is it unreasonable for me to ask my partner to leave his job to take care of our children? Workstyle Question: If you WFH and try to have some shadow of WLB, do you aim for 7/8-hour days in one go or do you work a bit, take an hour or so off, and then resume in the evenings? E.g. 9-5 or 9-12, 1-3, 8-10? Excluding 5-minute laundry trips and such.
