Looking for career advice. I’m a CPA, AWS cloud certified, interested in doing finance and data analysis/visualization work, learning Python and improving my tableau skills. Been working for 2 years as an analyst doing simple healthcare/workforce data reporting and analysis using excel. I want something more complex/aligned to my certs/skills. What type of work/career path should I be pursuing that utilizes my certs and skills? I’m lost......

Hi all, I’m looking to switch into Strategic Finance at a tech company and was looking to chat with someone in a similar role. I have total 4 yoe, the last 3 being in a quant role at a major valuation firm. I want to switch into a more cross-functional and strategic role while still working in finance which is why a strategic finance role seemed a good fit. Finding it tough to get interviews so looking to connect with people in these roles. Thanks!

I've been working as a Junior Analog Design Engineer for a year and half.

The thing is i was used to have inputs when needed from my managers for my models. Now I'm in a senior position with not much support for something I haven't done since uni

Any advice on telling your boss you’re leaving your team? For context, I’m the 4th one leaving within a month (boring product, not toxic or anything), and the manager id be telling is my skip level, as my old manager left the team and I’m actually moving to his new team. Trying not to throw shade on my old (new? lol) manager bc I know that he spent all of his career in this department before moving. Is there any way to soften the blow, other than just giving a 2-3 week notice?

I’ve always gotten the advice that when you want to switch jobs you should take interviews from places you’re not actually interested in, so you can understand your value in the market and have better negotiating power.

I’m doing that rn - took a couple interviews to gauge my skills, my market value, and see what I need to work on for interviews that I actually care about.

However, I feel really guilty about wasting their time and going all the way knowing I’ll just say no at the end. Wwyd?
