Looking for career advice. Worked in Supply Chain and Strategic Sourcing for 8 years, at Northrop and currently at Amgen. MBA from USC. Exploring options of moving over to Supply Chain Consulting or M&A. I would appreciate any feedback on recommended career paths.

I am a QA/SDET with 8 YOE , good in building framework for UI and API Testing , right now working on improving coding (DSA) and AWS (SAA certification). I am at 25 LPA now and my aim is to get in FAANG what all i need to get in my bucket to crack that (or atleast improve my chance of getting in ), please guide me .

Running in my 8th year in construction here in the SE. In my second job right now as a PM and Risk Management (5th year). I have a Masters Degree in Construction and additional certification programs from Cornell University, I think I am good with the pay I am getting (FOR NOW!) BUT

Currently get paid 10 PTO+6 holidays in addition to winter shutdowns from December 24th to Jan1st. Hence the PTO is limited to 10 for new hires upto completion of 5 years.

Is this a fair PTO for someone in year 8?

So, a recruiter gave me feedback that my lack SPHR or SHRM-SCP is causing my resume to be knock out by AI and human recruiters despite my position and work history in Multinationals and being in Technology. They suggested that we put SPHR ( Lapsed). I let it lapse in 2017. What is your opinion? Plus if I were to take another certification - should I take SPHR or SHRM-SCP?

OTS is growing rapidly and leadership has asked us SMs to assist with recruiting. One of our needs is for cybersecurity and data privacy consultants interested in M&A e.g. CISSP, CISA, CIPP, CIPM, etc

Got rejected by Mckinsey and told to reapply in 18mths. One engagement manager liked me, but the local one didn't. I.E. "performance was inconsistent"

What are the chances of actually getting second chance, or is it better to go MBA and network my way in?

I would really appreciate some suggestions for roles that I should be applying for. I recently started my MBA though I'm still having trouble landing interviews and think I should be applying for different roles than I have been. My MBA concentration is global business, my BS was in management with a minor in professional writing. I've been working in cosmetics mainly on the customer service side, currently senior support for the CS team and have experience doing CS on social media.

Are there jobs out of T15 MBA that require ~50 hrs a week and still provide a good ROI (assuming going on loans)? Not sure if the MBB grind is desirable for me.

For people who have moved in the industry between p/c carriers. How do your sales goals differ between each carrier? Do the larger carriers have more goals than smaller regional carriers? So my last bowl was me dragging. Come to find out I had to go to an emergency room and find out the pain in my heart was a blood pressure of 180/115 and my blood sugar spiked. Doc asks me if I’m stressed. I told her I’m a teacher. No explanation needed. But I’ll be damned if I let a job affect me like this. I just can’t leave because of you know, quarantine, and good jobs just aren’t plentiful. $750 emergency room bill to find out I’m stressed and not dying from a heart attack.

Our baby is due soon so we’ve made the decision that we will only have visits from vaccinated family members (not realizing it would be an issue) only to find out that my Dad will never be getting vaccinated, planned to lie about it AND asked other family members lie to us about his vaccination status too… when we found out and asked him about it, he started to FREAK out. Now I’m questioning if we’re being unreasonable… how have you guys been handling unvaccinated people meeting your newborns??

Between Chicago and DC, which city would be better for raising kids? For context, I am an Asian man who is married. Here are the simple pros and cons that I thought of:

Pros: lower cost of living; central location makes it convenient to fly out
Cons: not as many East Asians (!?) - perhaps there are other East Asian pockets here that I have not seen, but the suburbs here feel quite White

DC:
Pros: more Asian diversity; Nova has great public schools
Cons: higher cost of living

I have 2 offers in hand 1 from tcs of 15 LPA and another from Optum of 18 LPA. Point is i have a small 8 month old kid. Due to this, i need a job which will be less hectic so that i can take care of her( i dont want to leave her to maid). So which will be a better option fr me.
