That depends. Is this a friend or a “friend 😉”?

Really depends on where you go and the cuisine. You can do a 7 course meal in Dallas for $150 with wine.

Agreed if you’re looking to do a world top 50 restaurant in SF or NYC, but even in those cities there are plenty of world class tastings for $200 a person.

A nice pen. Mont Blanc or something

Hermes scarf. With a gift receipt. There’s many $480 pre tax.

Maybe a SPA certificate?

Or get her a facial or massage if it’s a “friend”

Suggesting she needs a facial is a sure way to loss a “friend”. Let her pick. 😂

Get her a cute ring

Gucci slides — less than $500, lots of different styles at Nordstrom and all the other luxury dept stores. You can never have too many pool slides and there are so many patterns and colors to choose from! Or fun designer sunglasses from one of these dept stores. + a gift receipt

A nice leather laptop tote is a great graduation gift. No matter where she goes to work, it’ll serve her well and last for years.

A weekend bag? Or a leather laptop bag. Or a nice cashmere or silk scarf. Jewellery is quite risky unless you know their style quite well but something personalised could be nice. Or a celine wallet!

I have a theory. Late requests are partially a result of the "no pressure, no progress" attitude. Nothing like a tight deadline to put some fire under my ass.
