Hi fishes! Nagarro declined the counter offer letter ₹33,00,000 + shares worth 4.5LPA
I've 6+ yrs experience (mobile dev.)
Nagarro offered 18LPA. Initially I told HR for 22 but he mentioned 18 into their internal portal to their senior so after clearing all interview rounds I got 18.
When I asked the HR, he told me to accept it for now and bring the counter offer letter so they can revise offer letter.
But now they declined. Weird.

Repeat after me: long work hours, low pay in comparison to consulting competitors, elevated level of brown nosing required in comparison to other industries, partners and leaders that live and breathe scope creep as their MO, stupid levels of competitiveness at lower levels.
There’s good sides as well but that’s not what you asked for 🙃
Deloitte is scrambling to find people in M&A
Mentor
People don’t hate Deloitte. People just love to grouch. Especially in here.
Deloitte sucks. People do hate Deloitte.
Because raises and bonuses were the worst ever this year. Culture has been pivoting away from strategy towards implementation. Utilization as a metric is really hurting the culture. If you came from another B4 it’s more of the same. If you came from anywhere else or are thinking about anywhere else, it’s not hard to dislike your current job.
This is accurate. I had a fairly good bonus only due to luck but several people I know were super pissed at Deloitte not giving any raises and minimal bonuses. This has hurt the firm a lot and will take the firm a few years to recover from it.

Deloitte's fine, its the ppl we dont like.
This was a joke... Thank you ZS for reminding us that there are firms that are even more of a laughing stock than Deloitte. Well done
People dont hate Deloitte so much as they hate the culture. This includes bragging, pay disparity and poor performance management. The work and company itself seem to be fine.
I have a friend who is a POC there and ultimately heard horror stories and got confirmation of massive frat culture
I haven’t seen this at Deloitte but definitely at PwC DDV
Deloitte has its issues abs problems but no more than anywhere else.
What I will say is that Deloitte is a tough place to join as an experienced hire. I spent a few years there after joining from another firm.
Just after I finished my first year, a senior level partner came to the office to meet with those of us that were experienced hires to ask about our transition, etc. she said “congratulations on making it past the year mark. Most experienced hires don’t make it 12 months.” There was something like a 75% wash out rate at the time within 12 months for experienced hires. This was a few years back.
Glad you’re having a good experience there. It took me about 9 months to really figure the place out.
Why is it so high? And at what level? Is it due to experienced hires struggle to network?
Worked for Deloitte in both US firm and DTTL 7 years. Met a much higher than average number of partners who had little or no regard for D and under types unless in their inner circle. If you didn’t have a partner in your pocket your career could evaporate without notice. If your partner fell out of favor, same. Was just entering the director selection process when a new partner was put in charge over our team who determined our profitability was too low due to inflated salaries. She cut the top earners regardless of performance record (myself included). YMMV, but I found the people to be great but the capriciousness of the partnership to be a constant source of stress, political jockeying and back stabbing in order to survive and advance.
Because lots of accounts are just big cliques/cults of personality in disguise, and everyone outside of that clique/cult are essentially second class citizens. Come promotion, if you don’t have at least an SM in your pocket, it’s over, because you’re competing with others that do
About 15 years ago, the big partners in Deloitte Consulting decided they wanted to move upstream. So they could double rates and compete with McK, and not KPMG. This is very difficult to do, representing a generational shift. And it meant they had to change the culture and be a lot more hardcore than traditional B4. I
I left in 2008 after years of toxic treatment. It's started off ok (1 miserable project location but had lateraled from previous job for actual livable wage), 1 good/fun project, plus a few Europe trips) and it just devolved due to terrible practice leadership.
YMMV but I know 3 people still there from the 60+ I had worked with. And 2 are still not partners.
Having commented earlier and agreeing with all the statements made....without Deloitte though, I wouldn’t have been able to increase my salary by 240% (pre- vs post-Deloitte)
Same here. I got a 144% increase with the potential of it being a 173% increase.
It’s a standard tier 2 consulting firm. It’s just fun to make fun of because they market themselves as top tier and have an ego about it (MBBD, harder to get into than Harvard, etc) which is easy bait for jokes
I don’t hate Deloitte. Heard it is a pretty decent and respected company :)
Oh I forgot regular mass layoffs even of high performance. Too much structures and alignments that prevent exposure to different areas whereas the leading competitors are truly one firm. Structure also creates a political and contentious environment esp when it comes to staffing.
Just wait a while, you will see.
