Best game ever: KaBoom is great for Math and English. YouTube has some great videos on it.

Rewards: I ask my kids what they like. Every year it is different. This year I have kids who love to color and draw. Cooking is also a big deal and something they want to do.

Weekly classroom contracts or monthly contracts are goods.
If you need a more consistent reward system set up a token reward system. Where students earn tokens for following directions, completion of class work, cleaning up, helping each other etc. At the end of the week they can use their tokens to purchase items. I use grant money to purchase these items.

Looking for any and all ideas! I will be teaching in a Middle School Autism classroom. This is very different from what I did last year and will be even more so with COVID. What type of bins, shelves, containers are you planning to use?

Also if you have any other ideas for this year let me know! Thank you 😊

I'm looking for some kind of Japanese language classroom environment in the Santa Monica / West LA area.

I've been self-learning via Duolingo and other apps for the past year, and I've hit a wall. No problems with reading hiragana/katakana, doing all right with kanji.

I currently need classmates and an instructor to motivate me to memorize speaking phrases and practice active conversation. I know there are apps for this type of language exchange, but they're usually 1:1 matches and virtual.
