I’ve been seeing things about a $20k bonus ($10k now, $10k in May) in the Deloitte Advisory bowl. As PDM am I correct to assume we won’t see any of that due to us being worthless in the eyes of Deloitte compared to traditional path analysts?

Every year the managing director and I discuss forecast goals etc. My quarterly bonus are based off of this mutually agreed forecast and my bonus percentages have never changed, so much over forecast is x% more is y%. We are experiencing wild growth and I was told next year we will have to lower those percentages or I’ll be making too much money. What do you guys think about that? For me the more the forecast goes up the higher the workload and stress so I don’t see there being a top end.

Is there a difference between 250k salary and 400k salary? Both salaries are watching spiderman on opening night. Both salaries have food on the table and a roof over their heads. One has a 65in tv vs the other has 75in. One drives a BMW the other a Tesla. I make around 250k and to increase my salary I will have to work a lot more. Is it really worth having more money, at some point it is just a number and quality of life doesn't improve. In fact it could be worse with the extra hours.

Is the 50-50 male-female hiring rule fair? In many offices the applicants are 80-20, thus women are 4 times more likely to make it. Isn’t this the definition of discrimination?

Change my mind: Blanket student loan forgiveness would be borderline immoral. It’d be a giveaway to the most educated and, generally, most wealthy people in society. Plus unnecessary given that we can give relief to those really struggling by using or expanding existing loan forgiveness and income based repayment programs.
