Good offer for being remote.
Also your bonus will be more like 16.5-18% in real life
Thank you Google1! That's great to know! Appreciate the insight.
I don't have an idea on the salary brackets for the mentioned location. I have a question though - what parts of the process has the recruiter been transparent with you?
I have been of the opinion that after completion of all rounds, following are the usual steps:
1. Deciding to go ahead with hiring + deciding on the level
2. Them working on a package (in collab with the comp team) and sending of the feedback+package to HC
3. If HC approves, recruiter reaches out to you with an offer
So, I guess, after the last round, whenever you hear from the recruiter next, it's going to be regarding whether you passed or failed.
I wanted to know are we also conveyed the intermediary steps anywhere like when they are proposing your packet to HC etc?
While my recruiter has not been the most responsive, she's answered my questions throughout the process. Here is what my steps have looked like so far after the final round:
- Called by the recruiter and was told I did really well on final rounds and will be put to HC
- Emailed the recruiter a week later for status and set up another call to let me know I've passed the HC (during this time I asked about approved level and technical band). Was told I will hear from her when teams are interested for team matches
- Had 2 team matches over about 4 weeks
- Emailed again for status after a week and was called to let me know the second team liked me and wanted to make me an offer
- Worked with recruiter to determine some number to submit to the HC. Recruiter said may take a week to go back and forth and will likely go back and forth a bit
I'm assuming the next steps are once comp is approved, we'll agree on a start date and I will sign an offer letter, but not sure. It's been a long process.
Hope this helps!
I think base is low but idk. I got the same base, higher sign on and almost the same RSUs for PgM so I’d think an Eng would get more?
I start this month!
Out of curiosity - any more details around the offer? Did you negotiate up?
Sorry for the delay! Yes, I was able to negotiate more so my final offer was 160k base, 15% bonus, 230k equity, 20k sign-on! :)
