HI folks,
My current CTC is very low with respect to my YOE. CTC : 5.2 lpa
YoE : 4
Tech stack : Python , MLops
But now my manager has initiated H1B visa for me and the visa process is in progress.
Is it worth to wait till the H1B process completes to work in U.S (74k package) (or) should i make a switch immediately. ?

This is pretty common..apply, get a job, get a transfer on premium..u r good
Thx. Has anyone experienced companies going more conscious with the current hue and cry about visa situations
Yes, it's difficult these days.
D1.. difficult why? If u have your offer, and if the org takes care of necessary documentation, there is absolutely no reason why its difficult.
I would suggest stay there and get the visa extended & stamped before moving out.
Yes they have apparently a company asked if I was in the first 3 years of my H1đ
Lot of companies are slowing down on H-1B hiring looking at the current environment.
Yes. Transfer cases are also getting RFEs, hence the slowdown. Best to stay put. Do you have your I140?
Thx all! Ideally I would like to stay but my project situation is not good.
@DD1- any idea what could be a reason they asked that from your comp?
@EY2 - nope. Just two years on H1B
No idea OP . My assumption is if you are in your first 3 years then its just a H1 extension & if you are in the later 3 then you need a perm to be filed to extend h1 beyond 6 years
OP. What form are you with? I know that PwC has stopped sponsoring H1B (at least for campus hires). So guessing that are not doing it for C/SC levels any more. KPMG also doesnât do H1. D /EY are your potential options (if you are looking for a Big4)
@PwC2: are you sure that KPMG and PwC have stoped doing it for lateral hires at C level? There career website doesnât say anything like that... they were my big bets
For PwC , I am not entirely sure about laterals, I know it for certain reg campus hires. So if they are not hiring Campus hires for C/SC lvls, not sure why they do it for laterals at the same lvl. They are doing it for M/SM though.
As for KPMG, I thought they never even had a H1 sponsor policy, as I have explored switching to them in the past â think of all the Big4s, they do least H1.
